Martin in one of his interviews mentioned that Rowling had managed to include creative control when she sold the rights for the Harry Potter universe, which as per Martin is hard to get from film/tv studios. He gets consulted and gives suggestions but ultimately he has no say on the direction the showrunners were taking the tv series that were based from his books

Were there significant advancement in weaponry and architecture, or difference in way of life between 10th century and 12th century England ? Some scholars probably can outline the differences. But to a layman it probably feel similar, same pox different century
I like how they showed that Grand Maester was at best a middling healer with that scene with Visery's back wound and then being the one making the prognosis about Aemma and the baby's survivability.
