UTSA -4 @ MTSU

It truly has been death by a thousand papercuts this year.
Our defense ranks 22nd in county in allowing only 4.77 yards per play.
In terms of limiting big plays, opponents only get 7+ yards on 9.5% of plays which ranks 6th in the county. 10+ yards- 4.8% of plays which ranks 14th overall.
I didn't think we'd fare terribly in these metrics but also didn't think we'd rank that highly. There has to be an adjustment. Patient teams are going to continue to slice and dice us for 5 yards at a time and control the clock as long as we are giving it to them.
Like others, I was underwhelmed when the Sark hire was announced. One of the first texts I got was from a buddy who asked how it felt to hire the knock-off version of Lane Kiffin? My response:
On this site, relatively speaking, I fall under the sunshine pumper category as I've grown to really like Sark and believe he can be very good here if given the time. That said, I've definitely wondered at times what things would look like had we hired Kiffin instead.
You guys seem like you need a pick me up. PFF player grades so far amongst FBS qualifiers:
Cole Hutson, G- 282nd (of 309)
Hayden Conner, G- 303rd (of 309)
Jake Majors, C- 83rd (of 145)
Christian Jones, T- 134th (of 303)
Kelvin Banks, T- 142nd (of 303)
Unit Grades (of 131 FBS teams):
Pass Blocking- 30th
Run Blocking- 113th
For a message board that thinks a change.org petition can land a recruit, you'd think we'd not be so quick to go all apocalyptic every time something doesn't go our way. Sometimes I think our fanbase gets what it deserves.
PFF has him at 14 catches on 28 targets and only 1 drop. The drop number feels way low- guess they don't count it as a drop when it's a non-routine play which he's dropped several of that I think he'd tell you he should've caught. They show him only catching 1 of 5 contested targets as well.
For record- Whittington has 18 catches on 24 targets. Think the biggest difference is Worthy has an average depth of target at 21.3 yards whereas JWhit's is 8.4.
Curious if anybody here has any experience with Ketamine for treating whatever ails you?
It's a longer story but I've struggled with depression/anxiety for as long as I can remember and in the last two years my mental health / outlook has really deteriorated. Have tried meds, therapy, group therapy, a week long resort rehab/workshop, 12 step program, and most other things. After all that, I'm still in a pretty bad place right now. I don't know what else to do at this point so guess I'm going to throw a hail mary and see if any of the hype around Ketamine is for real.
At 32-33-1 on year. 4 of those losses are sucker parlays so doing aight on my actual picking but time to pick it up.
Things I'm looking at:
BYU -24 vs. Utah State - might wait for 1H to come out on my book for this one with BYU playing ND next week
Pitt -24 vs. GT
Oregon State +10.5 @ Utah
USC -26 vs ASU
Air Force -15 vs Navy
U53.5 Purdue @ Minnesota
Western Kentucky -5.5 vs Troy
O42.5 NC State @ Clemson
Texas 41
WVU 31
RB Total Yards: 275 Yards
I've talked about him elsewhere but gotta go with my ~25 year old cousin Jeff. Quit high school in April of his Senior year because he "didn't see the point". Married a girl (incorrectly) named after a winter month. Think they've separated and gotten back together probably 4 times. They spent their honeymoon at the water park in Oklahoma City... sharing a hotel room with her mom, her sister, and her sister's two kids. He's had about 15 shitty jobs in the last 5 months, each one ending because he got screwed somehow. I don't know where I'm going with this other than yeah, he's pretty interesting to hear about. Avoid actually seeing him at all costs though.
Thinking a ra ra speech from a fan is going to flip a switch is hilarious. I'm also not saying that one from one of our A-listers is any better. Nobody from the outside is lighting a fire under their ass in any meaningful way.
“I personally am struggling to stomach this loss today. This shit rips me apart. It tests me spiritually. I hate it to the core of my being.”
- Ztejas in his tantrum thread 30 minutes ago.
Lol. Okay, yeah I’m the one taking it too serious.
JFC what a bunch of dramatic fucking pussies in here. Shit loss. Let’s fire our couch, nuke our class, have a bunch of players transfer out and hire… oh we don’t know. Shut the fuck up you fucking pussies.
