  1. It’s really weird. They have an intense congressional detail outside when she’s in town, to the point where you’re kind of afraid to stare at the house, but apparently SFPD is too short-staffed for a detail when Nancy is out of town. I don’t know why they wouldn’t pay for one given the events of the past few years. Also, Fox may be having a field day but the Chesa Boudin butthurt is strong right now.
  2. Yeah my first thought was, “Damn I’m impressed a crackhead made it up Pac Heights, crime don’t climb”, but that’s from having lived in SF too long. But I’m surprised - there’s always a security detail on their block, which is a cul de sac. After Jan 6 I assumed it would be there regardless of where Nancy is.
  3. Tracy’s or Cooter Brown’s. Guess Walk Ons if you don’t want to leave the FQ.

    Garbage, imo.

2019 Cote Rotie, imo. We blinded these since we were allocated one bottle of the Jamet and wanted to see if it really stood out. It did.
  6. Not a bad idea for weekends, but otherwise is easy to walk into.
  7. Sonoma the city? Valley Bar and Bottle is one of the best restaurants to have opened up in the Bay in the past few years imo.
  8. We’reTexas replied to Hollywood's topic in Food and Travel
    Celebrating, imo.
  9. What the hell is up with Bay Area and serial killers? Zodiac, GSK, the Doodler…hell, even Richard Ramirez came up for a little trip. And Ted Kaczynski taught at Cal.

Pierre Gonon, imo. The 2014 fucked. Champagne, imo.
  11. Translation of the exchange:
  12. The gunner posted this video, btw, and a few others. As in, a redditor is fighting in the foreign legion, posting his favorite vids, and answering questions in the comments. Wild.

You know, I’m a fan but I find his wines to be too inconsistent and can get mousey way too quickly for what he’s commanding these days. Would rather stick to Lapierre, Bertrand, etc.
  14. I’d avoid the FQ Halloween weekend unless that’s what you’re looking for. Why not the Chloe or Columns uptown?
  15. Alright this wins the internet for the day.

Aldo Sohm, the sommelier of Le Bernadine, released a book called “Wine Simple” which I’ve given as a gift. Soon enough you’ll be into tastings.
  17. You’re referring to Redd (which was awesome). Redd Wood closed during the pandemic. A restaurant called North. Block is now in its space (after the hotel). Haven’t been but I think it’s owned by someone from David Chang’s group. North Block is a good hotel btw.
  18. 22,23 hours. Whatever it takes.
