didn't realize the vinyl was out of print. the 3 lp box set i purchased in 2009 seems to be worth a lot of money now. it has white pepper, mollusk, and 12 golden country greats.
  4. saw mark chesnutt with my parents at the six flags amphitheater in arlington. must have been around 92 or 93 when bubba shot the jukebox was a hit. i vividly remember eating at cheddar's across the street, which was a real treat back then.

went to conans last friday night. took 1hr 20 mins to get 2 small pizzas...the place wasn't even that busy. pizza was good at least.
  6. saw some bands saturday at 29th st ballroom: two legged dog: appeared to be high school kids, and they were actually pretty good. stooges style garage rock with decent vocals. llano: not sure what they were going for but it didn't work. had a fiddle in the band...but also made a bunch of dissonant noise? it wasn't good. oogwei: heavy psych trio. bass player is the son of the tia carrera guitarist. this was their album release show. definitely strong tia carrera vibes...jammed on stoner riffs for a while and did some screaming. they were entertaining but haven't quite got it all together yet.

i'm guessing andrew watt, who was the other guitarist on stage...blonde dude with the ridiulous fur coat. only heard of him because he produced the last pearl jam album. he's young and excited and a lof of these old dudes seem to enjoy working with him.
  11. saw ghostwoman and shame at mohawk on saturday night, it was a cold one. was mostly there for ghostwoman but shame was enjoyable. ghostwoman is a 2 piece psych-blues band. really like their albums and they were pretty good live. shame is a british post-punk band. they had a ton of energy and the lead singer was engaging. not typically the style of music i go for but they were fun.

caught these guys at hole in the wall and thought they were pretty good, mars god. definitely a 90's grunge/nu metal vibe.
  13. y'all familiar with the beer delivery app, tavour? have been using it for the past few months and have enjoyed it. if you're interested in trying beers not available in tx it's worth a look. they have a flat shipping rate and give you a date each month of when your cart will ship. you get to add whatever you want to your cart before the shipping date and they're constantly changing what beers are available. no subsription...if you don't add anything to your cart there's no charge.
  14. ziggy found this thing...chupacabra?
  15. well he did have a whole bit about getting a facial...
