The overhaul has started. This goes back to the question from a few pages back, is Frank the man for Venkatesham? Does he have trust that Frank is the guy that takes this team back to the top?
No it's not. It's just stupid and gives teams/fans (the real people to hate) fodder for jokes. I don't think anyone is saying there aren't bigger team issues that need to be addressed. And that includes big churn at the HC post. I think the real question is do you see Thomas as a coach that will get results with Spurs? Watching how he is playing out there - I really don't anymore. It's kind of like Postecoglou, at some point he just failed the eye test. Yes, he got a major trophy, but his style had no long term sustainability, certainly not in a league where you are playing teams again and again and they see you a lot. I guess a second big question is what have injuries and some big roster losses really meant for him as a coach? Think about it: Son - transfer Maddison - long term injury Kulusevski - long term injury Solanke - long term injury I gotta say this team would be far better with 2 of those 3 back. Make no mistake - I do not like the idea of moving him mid-season because it really doesn't look like the team has a long term goal/vision. Ideally he hangs on, avoids relegation and then we part ways come the off-season.
That's as clear of a penalty as you will see. He trips VdV. And the trip looks like it's caused by VdV being hit from behind. WTF is this announcer taking about? WTF?
I'm really starting to get there too. He just seems to not put this team in a defensive structure that does much for them. The defense has regressed a lot since last year and given Ange's track record on that side of the ball - I didn't think it was possible.
