  1. The best way for aggy to prove to the cfb world that they really aren't as embarrassingly mad as the "sip media" have made them out to be about this is to fire a sr official for letting it happen.
  2. Here's how this will play out, in case anyone is curious. Helobious: we're staying in the big 12 (Texas publicly announces intent to leave) Helobious: well, we're not leaving for 4 years (Texas announces intent to start playing in fall of 2022) Helobious: it won't happen. Somewhere between now and fall of 22 something else will happen This guy has proven he's willing to keep moving goalposts not to admit he was wrong, and once that starts it will continue to no end. He's also dodged requests to put any teeth behind his predictions, clearly because he knows they're shit. I don't really get the endgame here unless he's just trolling or unwilling to take the L, but it's pointless to continue engaging. Even if he thought he was right at one point, he knows he's wrong now and will never admit it.
  3. Since aggy is so incredibly concerned with the welfare of tech and Baylor, and also so angry with the sec, there seems to be a very easy answer to all of this. With one move, they can be saviors of the poor remaining big 12 schools and also show the sec they don't like how they've been treated. It's what they would really do, if this wasn't all just self-serving empty posturing.
  4. Hahaha, I don't know how I hadn't even considered this until now. Fuck every school, but especially aggy, who has used this as their primary negative recruiting tactic against us. It will be beautiful for that strategy to bite them in the ass with current recruits.
  5. They're sooo close to understanding this, but then they fuck it up like they always do. Correct: sec just fucked aggy and doesn't care at all that it did bc the move is better for the sec. Incorrect: they did this because they're scared of what Jimbo is building and need to shut it down. This is the perfect moment for the Don Draper "I don't think about you at all" meme. aggy, you weren't the driving force behind this and it's probably a stretch to say how it will impact you was an afterthought. Most likely how this will impact you was never even in consideration by those in the room.
  6. I just had an epiphany while reading about aggy's continued meltdown and damage control. You're either a program who would freak the fuck out about any other program joining your league, or you're not. If you're in the former camp, you're a little brother. It's as simple as that. Alabama, Ohio State, LSU, Georgia, Texas...some might have programs they'd prefer not see added for recruiting purposes, but none would freak out to this point of public embarrassment about any programs joining their league. This tantrum alone does nothing but confirm what aggy has always been. A program that is desperately trying to avoid playing big brother so that they can bluster about how they'd win if they did. Of course, we've always known this, but I'm glad it's being confirmed very publicly and embarrassingly for all to see.
  7. I saw luicci post that "we all know they would have beaten us at least 7-8 times since they've been in the sec. They don't even need to wait for the games to start again to start trying to change the record. They're already doing it with hypothetical games that never happened.
  8. The aggy collective response this morning when they woke up to see the public perception of their planned official tantrum meeting on Monday:
  9. So is this the pr slogan they're going to adopt? They do realize how incredibly transparent it is, right? One Texas team is enough! Why? ...uhhh...because it will hurt aggy. Why should Texas or the sec use that to guide decisions? ...uhhh...One Texas team is enough!
  10. This needs to be shared everywhere those twats are whining.
  11. Prior to joining the sec, aggy's entire identity was based around being a victim of tu. For 10 years, they've pivoted that identity to being a part of the sec. In one move, we've offered them the opportunity to live both simultaneously.
  12. I get an unhealthy amount of enjoyment imagining the discussions at texags, inc. of when they have to kill the "old rivalries" board they created to prove that they'd moved on from Texas and the other bdf teams.
  13. I mean, as idiotic as this is, it's 100x better than the official drivel that has come from the aggy admin since the announcement.
  14. My guess is that Brent Z article was printed within 24 hrs of anyone at aggy finding out. Which is why they were told at the 11th hour.
  15. This is the kind of shit that I think most of the cfb world assumed we made up/exaggerated about them when they were less visible. Right now a lot of people are realizing there's no need to exaggerate. It's who they are.
  16. Congrats to him on the fastest backpedal he's ever achieved.
  17. Willingly leaving, Brent. Willingly leaving. If they keep on their current path, they might not be afforded a choice in the matter.
  18. I think it's in the recruiting thread, luicci's long ridiculous tantrum/rant is posted, and it basically amounts to "I wouldn't be sure this happens because unlike when aggy left, tu leaving will have a massive impact on the state and politicians won't allow it." No hint of irony, obviously.
  19. There are so many fun cognitive circles this whole mess forces aggy to run in. If Texas joins and wins something, does aggy cheer for the sec victory? If the sec left aggy out of the loop, are they still the best brotherhood in college sports? And now, if Abbott doesn't block the move, but the only candidate to run against him is a Beto O'Rourke-like candidate...does aggy actually hate Abbott and tu enough to vote against him? (no cr)
  20. aggy is now the guy who has realized he hates his job, but because he's gotten himself in tremendous debt trying to impress the neighbors, he has to stick around. No one else will pay him what he's making and leaving would require downgrading the "lifestyle" he's financially committed to but can't really afford. So, aggy is aggy.
  21. They have been selling a narrative that they're so much better than the old big 12 teams for the past 10 years while doing everything possible to avoid facing them on the field. I'm genuinely starting to wonder if they're so fixated on being able to continue this narrative without having to face Texas and OU on the field that they might really leave the conference. Yes, it's unfathomably petty, short-sighted, and against their own best interest, but this is aggy. It's pretty on brand for them.
  22. Joining aggy in the sec, forcing them to play a rotation of former "bdf" teams in their division each year (and proving they still can't beat them despite their blustering the past 10 years) would be good enough. Them throwing a very public and very humiliating tantrum is just the cherry on top. Having them possibly threaten to leave the sec...the only source of pride they've had over the last 10 years, just to avoid losing to their old big 12 bullies again... I'm not sure if I can take much more.
  23. He'll do great in the aac. Our mountain west. Or Sunbelt. Wherever the hell TCU lands. Talk about instant regret. Hope he enjoys the results of his decision.
  24. Anniversary this week club as well. I need this to all die down before we head for Maui midweek. I'd really like to unplug while there, but that's not happening if aggy tears are still flowing.
