You're absolutely right. The huge "Galena Park" logo probably should have given it away

Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - I'm With Stupid
Here are 29 seconds of Kamauryn Morgan's highlights from high school. It's obviously a very limited look but you can see there's talent here - and it would be a nice little "fuck you" to Baylor for Nate Kibble and a lot of other reasons

How dare you impugn the good names of Tariq Allen and Patrick Nkwopara

Hodor was a vastly superior pass and run blocker

2026 ATH Derrek Cooper
This was my thought as well. I would have liked to see more film of Cooper catching the ball since he's supposed to be very good at it. But he certainly looks the part in terms of size, speed, power, and agility. The only thing that concerns me is that his level of competition is reportedly not very good - though that's just what I've read. I don't know shit about Florida HSFB

This is, unironically, one of the best posts of the last 10 or so pages of this thread (or maybe "least bad" would be more accurate).

Negative Recruiting Your Own School: The aggy Screenshot Megathread
Wow. This is one of the more unhinged threads I can recall reading from Texags - and that's REALLY saying something. "Arch Manning doesn't have a good arm" and "Arch Manning was only slightly better than OK in the second half of the season" are certainly some... interesting takes. In a better world, these utter lunatics would be locked far, far away from polite society and allowed only to interact with each other. I guess Texags is about as close as we're going to get to that

After boycotting for the duration of AI's existence, I used it for the first time the other day to ask a question I thought it might actually have a reasonable answer for. I figured, "Ichiro was really fast. Just for shits and giggles, I wonder if AI can estimate what he would have run in the 40-yard dash. That seems harmless enough." AI told me that Ichiro definitively ran a 3.79 second 40-yard dash. I will never, ever use that shit for anything else. It's absolute garbage that's designed to turn your brain into pudding - which is a feature, not a bug, by the way

Sub-Educated Cretins: The SEC screenshot mega-thread
I know you weren't trying to compare them and I'm sorry if my post gave that impression. I think you make a very good point and it's going to interesting to see who goes the "Dabo route." Stubbornness is basically one of the defining personality characteristics of football coaches so I think you're absolutely right that some very good, smart coaches are going to crash and burn because they refuse to adapt to the new normal

I don't disagree but I'm not quite as bullish on Kiffin. Really solid coach but I think he'll still be hamstrung by the same kind of financial constraints as DeBoer. Once again, I fully expect Louisiana to do something monstrous with state money to compete but I'm not sure it'll be enough, particularly given the average level of incompetence among their state politicians, some of whom are almost certainly several corrupt nutria stuffed into suits. And I feel like doing stuff like taking a "commitment" from the Williams kid while at a basketball game with Leavitt is going to catch up with him. He's very good but he's also not Saban, so I don't know that kids will be willing to overlook that kind of underhandedness from him

Oh, I am definitely inclined to agree with them. The whole Smothers thing was a huge nut punch to their program, especially their flailing run game. Outside of Proctor, their OL sucks worse than ours did, they have frosh QB (albeit a really talented one), they have no running back, their best WR is a diva who quits if you bully him a little bit, their D isn't even close to the same stratosphere it used to be in, and DeBoer is not in Saban's league and is never going to get anywhere near the special level of deference that Saban got (or the Saban discount). Combine all that with the fact that they are in no way equipped to deal with the new reality of college football (unless they find a way to REALLY leverage state resources into NIL, probably in way that makes the lives of average Alabamans demonstrably worse (NO FUCKING CLOAK ROOM) - which, let's be honest, is a VERY real possibility for those lunatics) and I'm starting to think that the whole "Alabraska" nickname is going to end up being very, very prescient. I'm sure their baseline is better than Nebraska and they'll rise up and have good teams once in a while - but I cannot foresee them being anywhere close to competing for the title every single year ever again for as long as the current "new normal" endures
