Thanks. I’m hoping to maybe get some training or exposure to add to my resume while I’m searching for a new role Not necessarily looking at sales but maybe some sort of consulting or implementation type role. Since I have the experience and understand system needs or desires from an end user standpoint, I feel like it could serve as an advantage in helping get others set up.
Do any of you have history with SAP and/or Net Suite? My background is accounting and I’ve most recently been at the assistant controller level. Im currently in a job search and seeing a lot of companies wanting NetSuite or Sap experience which I don’t have. I’ve seen NetSuite’s training program and am considering it, but not sure if it gives access to a sandbox type environment. I’m even considering a transition to implementation type role if I can find something that would be willing to provide training. Any advice is appreciated
I’m in the market now. Was in finance at a manager level with a midsize company in the construction realm. I could see the writing on the wall so had been looking already. I’m honestly considering pivoting out of accounting but not sure what that looks like at this point.
Bump. Have a long layover coming up and will be staying at one of the Hiltons at the airport. Any recommendations for getting out of the airport for a bit to see some sites? Considering taking the train to Mainz or one of the towns in that area.
Landing around mid-day and will have until the next morning.
I've only picked up and been watching the last few seasons, but wasn't a fan of Rachel being there anyway, so didn't bother me she left. I didn't like the way everyone treated her just because she was a "legend"...Kind of the same way they treated Cirrie last season.
If I want to go back and watch old seasons, what is a good starting place? Started season 1 on paramount plus, but first few episodes seemed like all social and filler so skipped ahead to season 2. I can tell production stepped up between 1 and 2 and liking it so far.
It's a cover, but the way Stapleton arranged it...
Also a cover, but like the slowed down version better
Both of these would hit me pretty hard before I got Sober.
Interesting topic, can't think of any movies from last 10-15 years I quote.
I remember in late teens/early 20s, I could show up to any of my friends' apartments and one of 3 movies was usually on and we quoted constantly.
1. Half Baked
2. Dazed & Confused
3. Super Troopers
Just finished the whole thing too. Loved season 5 and the ending. Just shows while they may get rid of one person, someone else will take over. This was true for several of the main characters. This was my first watch, so not sure where I rank compared to BB since if watched BB 3 or 4 times now. I’ll definitely give it another watch in the future.
I could see it as a serious drama, or a dark comedy. I've played the story line in my head out some, but I am no writer. I see it elaborating on their back stories up to the point the meet at the local joint in town, show their life together some, the bust and follow up.
Seems like networks have come full circle. Originally those timeslots were the old test screens. NBC decided to fill the slot with the tonight show bringing in multiple advertisers rather than just one sponsor. The model took off and spread. Now that we can get highlights anytime we want online, no need to watch the full show. Definitely speaks to the state of tv. It was mentioned on the doc I watched. Carson highlights were talked about that water cooler the next day and if you missed it, too bad.
It's holding my interest so far, but yes a little bit of a slow start.
I love the scenes with the Co-Op meetings. All of the dealers meeting at the Holiday in Conference room with signs and all. They just need name tags and vendor booths.
I know it's not new, but watched the history of late night series on HBO this weekend. Probably an episode or 2 too long, but still found it interesting how these shows evolved from the 50s. I loved watching Letterman and Conan in my younger years, but these shows have evolved to the point you can take them in youtube clips to see the good stuff.
I've re-discovered Conan recently on sirius with his channel. It plays his Conan needs a friend podcast and random clips from his shows over the years. He is very off-the-cuff funny and seems to have a natural ability to interview.
I'm a few episodes into season 4 now. Season 3 was still good, but to me not as strong as season 2. I agree with the assessment on Stringer...smart but dumb at the same time. He does what he thinks will advance them but doesn't operate within the unspoken rules. Saw that with going after Omar on Sunday and going after Davis. Everyone around him questioned those choices.
