  1. As you probably already saw, I'm selling a car and, practically, need to buy another. I'm using the strategy of trying to contact them online and negotiate a price. Holy hell is that even a beating. So far, I've run across a half dozen or more of the dealers "fluffing up" the trim level to make it look like a great price and only when you try to do your due diligence do you find out it's at a lower trim level, but for the same price. What are your go-to methods in dealing with these fuckheads? How else do you perform your due diligence on the car other than KBB, Edmunds, CarFax, etc?
  2. Ah, I gotcha. I did not sign anything. He wrote a deposit (noted in memo line) that I cashed. I will draw up the paperwork and make a bill of sale.
  3. One follow-up question. This is my wife's car, can I have her just sign the title beforehand and not attend the transaction at the bank or does she need to be present?
  4. What do you mean? Thank you all for the guidance and resources.
  5. Tomorrow, it’s likely that I will be finalizing the sale of my wife’s vehicle. What documents should I have prepared for the buyer to sign? The buyer is a late 20s slacker whose dad has done most of the interaction, negotiation, etc. The dad wrote me a deposit ($1K check) that has cleared the bank but he said his son still needs to line up the financing for the remaining $9K. Do any of you see any issues or red flags with this? I’ve done some due diligence with the name and address stamped on the check and everything matched on Dallas CAD. And, FWIW, his wife’s FB has him and his very white family in it…so there’s that.
  6. This doesn't change anything. We always knew I was your dad. You don't have to call me it, son, if you don't want to
  7. I used to buy this every year when it when on sale. The quality of it is shit, giant pieces of branches throughout all bags. I finally decided to spend another $2/bag and get the finely shredded stuff that the Boy Scouts deliver to your door. Well worth the extra cash with delivery included, all while supporting some hardworking young men
  8. I've bought about 3 packs of the Kirkland brand and actually love them. Breathable and the elastic hasn't been blown out yet (about 9 months in)
  9. They opened up a Lucchese store at The Star in Frisco
  10. Picked up the Honda. Thanks to all for the input. Kinda pumped to actually mow my lawn
  11. Have you noticed any issue with the [rear] wheels? In reading reviews, it has been a consistent problem with them falling off. Not after a few years but, rather, after a mow or two. Sounds like there might be some design flaw.
  12. Honda mower or Toro [Recycler] with Briggs/Stratton? Both same price point and similar amenities except Honda has 2 blades but no deck cleanout and Toro has 1 blade w deck cleanout
  13. Playing DUST and NUGT is pretty easy to do with all the shenaniganry
  14. I've been wanting to build out our closet but am not sure I can recoup the cost of doing so. Might just do a little here and there
  15. Why the blue dye?
  16. Can anyone confirm that Jack made it? That dog made this thread
