Park MGM came up due to the price per night. Wasn’t too sure about it cause of some reviews but will need to look into it a bit more. My initial suggestion was going to be Aria for us and they can stay at the Park since they are next to one another.
Not too concerned on location. I prefer the upscale hotels over the party vibe. Would be good to have a hotel with good food/bar options. We stayed at mgm signature last time we stayed near/on the strip. I have a feeling they will want to be on the cheaper side considering how the initial planning has been going.
Going Labor Day weekend for my sis in laws 30th bday. She has never been to Vegas but we have been quite a few times. Since it is their first time they prefer to stay somewhere on the strip. Any recs on places to stay? Been about 5 years since we stayed on the strip.
Ah beer is key. My 5yo likes rides as long as she is tall enough to get on. We will have a car to get around and be able to hit up some brewpubs and breweries while we are in the area. Already got a few on my list to go to.
Debating on going to Legoland. Will definitely go to the zoo and Seaworld so that's 2 days right there. Have another full day free to do stuff. Spend some time at the beach. We are debating on where to stay. Going with another family and trying to decide to stay on Mission Bay or Point Loma area.
Will be in San Diego in a week. Have spicy 3 full days to visit places. Which breweries are a must to visit? Will have kids in tow so will need to limit how many I can visit.
I had a good experience at interstellar bbq when I went 2 weeks ago. Sausage and brisket were good. Ran out of pork ribs so didn’t get to try them. This is easily the best bbq option near me. Not much to get in the cedar park / northwest area. Next closest to me is probably brotherton.
Good point there. Now to find an area to stay at. May get a car for a day to drive to other places in the area. Figured we would try to stay near an area where we can walk to get food, drink and coffee to avoid having to lug around car seats.
Nice bump on this. We just booked our flights for May 17-21. Main things we want to do are the beach and zoo. Haven’t really planned much as to where to stay and what breweries I want to visit. We will have our 2 girls who are both 5 and 1.5yrs. They like parks and doing stuff outside.
Thanks all for the advice. We got to Anaheim on Saturday before lunch. Drove around the area for the day. Had to hit up some breweries on my list before we went all in Disney for the next 3 days. Checked in on Sunday morning and headed to the park. We stayed at Disneyland hotel and it was a short walk to downtown Disney and the park. This was our first time and a surprise trip for our 5yo daughter. We booked the princess boutique and breakfast with Minnie. She loved both but she surprised us by really wanted to do rides. Her favorites were guardians, soarin, Star Tours. She wasn’t tall enough for some rides so we opted out of those. Maxpass helped a lot to book things on the app. Overall a great experience and worked well to go to DLR instead of WDW for a little one.
That’s cool. Didn’t think we would find her. I’ve left most of the planning to the wife so I’m not up with all that is planned other than breakfast with Minnie.
Yup dad of 2 girls as well. Thanks for the link. Sadly my daughter latched on to the one princess you can’t find much of...Tiana from Princess and the frog.
