  1. This is so true. Both the hate part and the hot part.
  2. Well, after they get their Super Bowl / Bad Bunny crash out over with, they can resume shitting on our Olympians for having opinions: The Daily BeastMAGA Senator Melts Down With Cruel Threat Against U.S. Ol...Sen. Rick Scott suggested taking harsh steps against members of Team USA.
  3. Part of what's fucked up about Attia (and there's plenty there), is that he talks in his book about mental health in the context of his own struggles stemming from abuse he suffered as a child. While he refuses to delve into the specifics of that abuse, one could infer--as I did, perhaps wrongly--that the abuse was sexual in nature. Regardless of the type of abuse, he attributes his adult anger and related behavior that nearly destroyed his relationship with his wife and kids to that experience. So on top of being a human being and a father and a physician and a person whose livelihood is based on the wellbeing of others, he's a fucking childhood abuse victim. What the actual fuck?
  4. I've said it many times on this board, and it's still true as ever: never underestimate how many women (particularly white women) hate other women.
  5. We tried with another couple to keep the friendship going and avoid talking politics. Before, they were what I then considered to be normal Republicans, and I thought we had a mutual respect for our different views. Trump's first term was manageable, and they even said the Ukraine stuff was not acceptable. Everything changed with Biden, and they now are hardcore, punish-everyone-different, intolerant and angry assholes. Had one last dinner with them last fall, and we decided on the way home that we were done. I haven't missed them at all.
  6. I have the "In Jimbo We Trust" t-shirt that I put on the skeleton at Halloween just to piss off a neighbor.
  7. Donald Trump-79 Ghislaine Maxwell-64 RFK, Jr.-71 Barry Switzer-88 Bruce Willis-70 Cris Berman (I'm going to get him at some point)-70 Barry Manilow-82 Clarence Thomas-77 Phil Mickelson-55 Barry Keoghan-33
  8. And the Paxton whistleblowers
  9. The opening scene was heartbreaking from "will it hurt" to the goat. Damn. Perfect way to set the stage for Zosia's trying to woo Carol. "Send me another" was so good.
  10. It's like one big run-on sentence
  11. A big stretch from Texline to Raton is called the Safety Corridor. Basically, there are random places where the speed limit drops for no reason ("speed monitored by aircraft"), there's nowhere to stop after you leave Clayton, and the 18-wheelers don't handle the wind so well. Oh, and you're supposed to turn your lights on for safety. It's not treacherous or anything--unless there's black ice. You'll be fine.
  12. Oh yeah, the Safety Corridor. The worst part of a drive to Colorado.
  13. OMG is that the same guy
  14. And our secondary is a hot mess.
