  1. We should wear our storm troopers at home for this game. Make them wear purple.
  2. There are only two things I hate in this world--people who are intolerant of other people's cultures... and the Dutch.
  3. Yuk replied to Al_4_ISU's topic in Football
Why would he leave Syracuse for Baylor?
  4. I expect he may miss the rest of the game.
  5. Anyone else think we're using that obvious option play we've ran to set them up for a throw off of it. It's such an obvious key and we've only ran it with Ingram.
  6. That's not entirely true. According to the Constitution, Senators can forbid impeached and convicted from holding public office again. Of course it is for them to decide.
  7. It literally says in the Mueller filing he gave "substantial assistance" in Russia collusion investigation. Then the whole section is redacted. And the judge asked Mueller today if they considered charging him with treason. But you're right, nothing came out of this. All Turkey.
  8. The Flynn push is all about setting up a reality in which Flynn deserves a full pardon, undercutting his cooperation agreement. You have to give the mouth-breathing boomers one speck of an excuse so they can "both sides" an overt, criminal act of obstruction of justice. It was fascinating to me that Trump never criticized Manafort after he was reported to be cooperating. Now we know Manafort was double dealing and still likely playing for a pardon. Trump also never criticized Flynn. I'm not sure what game they are playing, but it's out there in the open. Also, Flynn plead on lying to the FBI, but he could have been charged under FARA for the turkish lobbying that his partner is being charged today. A full pardon on the lesser charge of lying to the FBI obfuscates the real reason he cooperated to begin with.
  9. Pretty decent thread with analysis on the court's ruling.
  10. Yes and without the penalty it’s just a requirement to buy health insurance. It was done intentionally to undermine Roberts argument for allowing mandate.
  11. We just need to find a more polished fascist.
  12. From that Politico article up above: Judge Greg Katsas, the court's only Trump appointee and who had worked on the Russia probe while serving in the Trump White House, had recused himself. During his confirmation hearing, Katsas said he would take a broad view of his recusal obligations stemming from that experience.
  13. Dreeben has argued over 100 cases before SCOTUS. Justice Roberts says that makes him the second person this century to achieve that milestone. He's a heavy hitter. I think there's also something related to journalist and constitution entangled in the arguments.
  14. I'm going to make the guess that this relates to Julian Assange.
  15. Michael Dreeben once being a Deputy Solicitor General seems more important. I would think this likely implies that there are constitutional issues at play in the subpoena.
  16. It's mainly qboomer olds and totally alpha incels. It's essentially self-sterilization.
  17. It doesn't prove anything. It's just interesting. Quote from Rolling Stone: Butina, 30, was raised in Siberia, where she grew up competing in shooting competitions. She studied political science and rose to national prominence in 2011 for her participation in the Youth Primaries of the Young Guard of United Russia, a political contest sponsored by Vladimir Putin’s political party. Butina soon moved to Moscow, where she founded a gun-rights organization, Right to Bear Arms, under the tutelage of Torshin, then a top senator in the Russian government. https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/maria-butina-pleads-guilty-russia-768777/ Late December 2010 suspected spy Anna Chapman was appointed to the public council of the organization https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Young_Guard_of_United_Russia
  18. Chapman was the spy caught honeypotting Obama cabinet official. The FSB is not looking for lobbying. They look for relationships (financial or other) and get kompromat. Then they exert pressure on the target to act in ways that benefit them.
