Look, if we bring in the portal class that we need to compete for the title next season, I won't give one single shit about Sark publicly whining about agents and the changing landscape of college football (a system which both Texas and himself have benefited greatly from). Im just pointing out that kind of talk is a lot closer to Tom Herman Texas than 22-23 everybody gets a Lambo Texas
We heard narratives like this for years in the cheating era. Not directly from the Texas coach but 995ers, insiders etc. That those greedy (street) agents are running a scam and poor little Texas doesn't want to participate. Make us OK with missing our top targets, because at least our money isn't going to greedy hangers on. It's because of those dishonest agent types that all the elite talent went to LSU, Alabama, Georgia or Ohio State. The guys Texas gets are much more desirable because they aren't greedy so they'll be program guys. I'm not talking about Wisner. Im talking about preemptively making excuses for ending up with a cart full of bread.
The point is 2024 Ohio State knew they had offensive line issues going into the season. What did they do in the portal? They signed an All American running back and an All American safety. They didn't hold off on upgrading the rest of the team until everyone was all warm and fuzzy about the line.
Just a reminder that Wingo dropped like 4 passes in the first half against Georgia and also tripped over his own feet twice looking upfield at nothing but grass. I understand we are on a budget and have other positions to pay for, but acting like Coleman isn't an upgrade at WR1 is delusional
There are ways around the cap. Its called cheating, it's pretty common in college football. Texas is going to do what they've always done-ride the high horse and throw up our hands and say we did all we could
The 2025 Texas Longhorns would lose 10 times if we played the 2025 Georgia Bulldogs 10 times. What are we even talking about here? We weren't winning no goddamn championship. Take the necessary steps to improve
Im actually the one who bumped this thread and I've always been a big Shane fan and even defended him to some of my friends, albeit in a much less caustic manner than that which has been displayed here. You can only see your boy sit there giving hand jobs to the opps so many times before you lose respect for him. I get he's playing both sides. It has an expiration date to it though
Money grab or not, there is a decent argument to be made if you are Miami beyond dollars that it's a better spot for O Line development. I don't necessarily agree, but Im not Mario Cristobal. Losing Goosby would and should be the death knell in any faith any of us may have in Flood if not Flood and Sark
on the math team? Real ones remember the great Inpeng Bouaphanh leading Boswell to a week 1 win over back to back defending state champion Art Briles Stephenville. They got their lick back the next year beating our undefeated, best team in school history on a cold November day at Floyd Casey in round 2
