  1. My daughter has decided to attend Alabama next year. She has great grades but not good enough to get into Texas like her brother. She doesn't want to go to A&M, Tech, UTSA etc. She was accepted to TCU and seriously considered it but Alabama wants her enough that they are giving her a $60k scholarship, accepted her into their honors college and into the program where she gets a bachelor and MBA in 5 years. My sister in law who lives in the Frisco/Prosper area says a large chunk of those grads head east to the SEC schools and two of her kids went to Alabama.
  2. Anyone remember the institutional fixture, Nancy, at Papagallos
  3. That was definitely part of the Penn State equation.
  4. I went to watch it with the family and some of the kid's friends at Alamo. I know there were a ton of references I didn't get because I'm not a Marvel geek but I had seen all the Toby Mcguire Spiderman movies. What IS annoying is my kids demanding we sit through the entire credit scroll so we can see the after scenes while the alamo employees are sweeping around your feet and otherwise making you feel you've overstayed. They're never worth it.
  5. I can see a scenario, if Ewers’ transfer was indeed some amount a consequential part for causing the o-line windfall and altering the perceived recruiting direction of the program, that without Ewers coming to Texas, you definitely don’t get Arch later. I think a QB like Arch, who envisions very little bench development, wants there to be linemen already on campus developing and capable of solid protection when he takes his first snaps. But what do I know?
  6. I have seen the shame angle work at least a half dozen times on surly so shame away from your moral perches, burntsurlys
  7. How does HWH avoid this if its allocated ahead of time for every O-lineman?
  8. He can co-host Down onThe Farm and report on beef and cotton prices on KKYX
  9. Prometheus gets referenced twice on this thread inside 24 hours.
  10. The sequel to this was also fun when his little bro picked, I think, Florida(?) over LSU
  11. I've noticed the shame strategy works well for recruiting to Burnt Ends
  12. You know the difference between a whore and a bitch, right?
  13. My wife recently insured a bitcoin mining set up at a production site that will utilize the gas from the well that would have otherwise been flamed to power generators to run a bank of servers to mine BC. She's done O&G ins for years and hadn't come across this but her underwriters told her they'd done three others this year.
  14. I was in no way making fun of them. I’d like to see the whole 44
  15. I almost posted “my username checks out” as the reply to her pic, but that might be taken as an insult
