I like the leagues idea. It creates a "SEC" without Vanderbilt and Kentucky etc. And yeah, I know that we would be relegated down, but aren't we already? It would what's best for the sport. Even the less talented leagues would actually be interesting.
We all occasionally rattle on a little too long and say something unreflective of our true thoughts. Especially in a public setting. Sam has undoubtedly lost some mojo since the ou game, but I'm gonna give him some time to fix this one. He's fine.
This whole thing doesn't sit right with me. I am thrilled for Colt. He is one of my all time favorite longhorns. However, he is now in position to potentially save the job of a coach who has mismanaged his injuries and risked his longterm health.
Also, I have never cared about Haskins, but it looks like he is getting Jeff Fishered by Gruden. Haskins is by no means VY talented, but that still sucks.
OSU had only 4 drives of 50+ yards out of 14 opportunities. Those 4 drives resulted in only 13 points. They scored 14 points off of our muffed punts. The defense did a great job leading up to those punts. OSU is very talented. Of our remaining schedule, only Halen Hurts is capable of escaping a few of the sack opportunities that Sanders eluded. All of this was accomplished with a very beaten up unit. We and Orlando are fine.
Last night's process was an embarrassing failure. No doubt. Every system is perfectly designed for the results it produces. However, what is being lost on people is the fact that CDC completely redesigned and successfully implemented change to a complicated system in only two weeks. Even though the new system was terrible, that is still impressive. I have no doubt that he will fix this.
Also, can people not tweet at the AD of the University of Texas like he's a damn intern. Learn how to communicate like a grown up. It's incredible that CDC even engages with those mouth breathers.
It was a frustrating game, but at least we know that we are good enough to play poorly with a mash unit on D and still beat a talented team. OSU will do well this season. I'm glad we played them early on. Sanders is going to be a pain in the ass for the next three years. He will probably beat us at lead once. ou is the only team more talented than OSU that we have left on our schedule. Let's use the bye week to recover and then roll into Morgantown ready to make them wish they didn't act like asses last year.
I'm going to make one final statement about LSU before I move on with my life. Their team is really good, and their offense was way better than the typical Big 12 offense that we are used to. Their game with Bama this year will not be the typical snooze fest.
However, their players and fans sucked this week. They had the whole world rightfully expecting them to win and our players did nothing than wear some DBU shirts, but they played victim all week and covered up their insecurities with shit talk and chest thumping. Part of being a top-tier program as learning to take the high road.
I hope we get sweet, merciless revenge in BR next season.
I want to give Ingram the benefit of the doubt that his knee may be bothering him, and I don't want to disregard his potential. But damn, RJ is really impressive. If I were Tom, I'd be really tempted to permanently move him to RB.
