I would get your point, if the kicker was defenseless, but he was a ball carrier running at full speed who saw the hit coming. Plus half of the entertainment is laughing at the stupidity of the play call.
I think we all knew that Texas was going to drop a game like last night at some point. That game had almost every one of the patented issues that have been holding the team back for years. Those are things are controllable. Great teams overcome the things that are out of their control like questionable calls by the refs, because they are disciplined in all facets of play. This team is not yet a great team, but a good team that can still make the conference championship game if they fix their ailments from last night. As fans, we can choose to bitch about refs being "out to get us" or to move forward and get excited for next weekend. I look forward to seeing how this team responds in their new "biggest game in recent program history" next weekend.
Tom Herman's 1-0 mentality is going to have to come in effect now more than ever. We are in survive and advance mode from now through November. It all almost fell apart just today. If Texas can take care of business and lose no more than 1 upcoming game, we can expect a spot in the conference championship game. The great thing is WVU and ou still have to play each other
I'm becoming a bigger and bigger fan of Sam every week. Ideally, he would have redshirted last season, but it has been fun to watch him develop as a player. Hopefully his progress continues.
Born in 1993 so 11 - 14 - 1. But I consider 1998 and Ricky's Heisman campaign as the first year I had a clue of what was going on so 9 - 12 in that time span. Either way, my greatest wish is for Texas to return the favor for ou's 5 year win streak back in 2000 - 2004. Texas was pretty excellent during my primary childhood years (1998 - 2010) except for struggling against the sooners.
Are all the D-line and O-line recruits from last class on track to redshirt? If so, the positive impact that will have on the future of the football program cannot be emphasized enough. No more starting true freshman lineman please!
I'm guess you have never had to unexpectantly hit the breaks while sprinting full speed. Sure he was burned, but he needs to catch up to the WR too. Sent from my VS988 using Tapatalk
