They just started filming, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's 2024. I liked Galadriel in this episode. Hopefully this version sticks around. And I'm glad we got a Celeborn shoutout. So far I'm pleased with the show, but not acknowledging him and the near-flirts with Halbrand was one of those things that had me teetering on the edge. Waiting until the penultimate episode of season 1 for that throwaway line about Celeborn seems like the writers just trolling us bookfags, which I sort of respect. Elrond and Durin continue to be the best part of this show. Especially Durin. The Balrog is the most fan-serviced thing they've done. Not only that they're introducing it thousands of years early, but also the design. It's a testament to the Peter Jackson films that one of the biggest (not really, but still) criticisms you can levy against it is that he messed up the design of the Balrog. And this show just piggy-backed off of it. At this point, I'm just hoping that meteor man isn't Gandalf. Coming to Middle-earth this early and hanging out with halflings is too on the nose. There have been enough subtle references to the deeper parts of the lore to convince me that the writers have a deep respect for Tolkien's work so they won't swerve too far out of the lines, but they also had that weird Galadriel sword fight scene in Numenor that's been in every show ever, so I'm also not sure how mature they are as showrunners.- Texas vs tech - 2:30pm on ESPN
There’s nothing more validating about this post than getting negged by a perennial cocksucker like @Michael Knight and a true Lake Travis homer like @StassneyHorn- Texas vs tech - 2:30pm on ESPN

It fits uncomfortably into the lore. We know what happened to the three silmarils, and none of them ended up in a tree in the Misty Mountains. And there's no reason for the elves to be "fading" either.- The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power - Amazon Prime
I think she’s the second oldest person in middle earth. And the oldest isn’t in the show (so far).- The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power - Amazon Prime
I'm not shitting on you, but from a bookfag perspective this comment is funny because she's at least 5,000 years old in this show.- Tell Me About Texas a&m

We honestly could've done it for $750 cheaper. We paid about $300 extra per person to upgrade our lodge from the package we bought then we each doubled the recommended tip for the bird boys. - The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power - Amazon Prime
