For a God, you don’t seem to have many answers.- Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton, and Other Good Stuff
You guys are braver than I. Godspeed.- Olympics, better late than never
Fuck yeah. Loved seeing Larson get that last point.- Olympics, better late than never
I'd be interested in a comparison of Olympic entries too. Things like basketball, indoor volleyball, water polo, etc can increase your athlete count but there is still only one medal on the line. I don't know if China were in many of the large team sports. Obviously, it wouldn't make up the whole difference but it would be more comparable.- COVID-19 2nd wave - Texas only - Stats and such

Anyone know how to request the refund? There of course is no link in the info. I went into my Ticketmaster account and don't see a way to do it. We've seen him 5 times and will probably see him 5 more. We just decided it's not worth the risk for now.- 2021 Rain Thread
All of a sudden opened up in 78731.- ESPN the Ocho: 2021
Watched the marble races with the 5 and 2 year olds last night. The 5 year old wanted more.- Olympics, better late than never
Women's indoor volleyball semis on USA for you night owls. Would wife Andrea Drews. I'm 6'5", so I could handle it.- Olympics, better late than never
So happy for April Ross. She just kept coming and got her big prize. Good for her.- COVID-19 2nd wave - Texas only - Stats and such
You seem super cool and super tough. Good for you.- Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton, and Other Good Stuff
Just saw that. Good for him. Glad that he has gotten to a place where he can have this power. I'm curious as to how that conversation with Ticketmaster went. Changes the math for us on going for sure. Still not sure if I am 100% comfortable, but we'll see.- Olympics, better late than never
How has China all of a sudden found these track athlete genes? I mean, it's obviously 100% legit, so just curious where they came from.- Texas Track and Field
Keni Harrison (100m hurdles silver) is also a volunteer assistant at Texas- Olympics, better late than never
I mentioned to my wife how stunningly beautiful Sydney McLaughlin is, so now whenever she is on screen my wife refers to her as "your girlfriend". If only....- Future of the Olympics
Yeah, Juan Carlos forgot his gloves at the hotel, so they had to share the pair. The third guy on the podium, Peter Norman from Australia is a fascinating story as well. In support, as Australia has its' own racial issues, he wore a badge from the Olympic Project for Human Rights. After that, he was banned from the Australian Olympic team and was shunned until his death. Tommie Smith and Juan Carlos were pall bearers in his funeral. Lot of good articles out there: https://www.history.com/news/1968-mexico-city-olympics-black-power-protest-backlash- Summer Transfer Window 2021 –
Italy has "Cardiological Guidelines for Sports Eligibility" which he would likely fail. Sounds like a good policy!- Olympics, better late than never
Just wanted to check in and say: Jesus Christ, Sydney McLaughlin is a stunningly beautiful woman.- Olympics, better late than never
We all bring our own experiences and biases, so we wont agree on Biles. But, I don’t want something we can all agree on to be forgotten: Huge respect to the rest of the team, particularly Jordan Chiles. They lost their leader and probably the best to ever do it and still fought and got Silver. They wanted more but they still deserve respect. Chiles nailing her uneven routine after being thrown in last second was incredible- Olympics, better late than never
Watching the replay now and in the warm ups Simone was way off on her vault and the commentator said that he had never seen her like that. She just hasn’t been right for a while. I realize the desire to compare to if KD or another basketball player asks out of a game, but I don’t think it compares. If his head isn’t right, he goes 2-15 shooting, but can maybe help in other ways. Chuck Knoblauch can hit a HR if he has the throwing yips. She can’t help in any other way. Literally the only thing she can do is fly through the air/stay on the balance beam/etc. if she can’t do those things due to her mental state, I don’t know what other choice she has. She simply can’t help the team and is putting herself at risk. Everyone (including her, I’m sure) wishes it was brought up earlier. It may have been dealt with earlier and she could have gotten help before the games. It’s clear she’s had issues from at least the trials.- Olympics, better late than never
The Strug moment was undoubtedly cool. Also, maybe it was fucking stupid? Her reaction after it was over was not one of joy. "Athlete A" on Netflix is more about Nassar, but it also has a section where it reframes the Strug moment.- Olympics, better late than never
I could be wrong, but I don't think people say to themselves, "you know, I think I may have a mental breakdown in 7 days, I shouldn't go." Not really how that works.- Olympics, better late than never
Caught the end of that one. USA down 11-9 in the 3rd but scored 6 straight to win. Also, yes on the blonde Latvian.- Olympics, better late than never
That Belgium/Japan 3 on 3 game was hilariously bad. I couldn’t stop watching. - COVID-19 vaccine discussion
