Yeah... early reports this week currently have CJ out for Kentucky- Texas Football 2025 - Seven Win Steve Rides Again
Gibson seems like he's better suited as a tailback in an I-formation offense or one where the QB is under center and pitches the ball back to RB so he can read the holes better. Get him some road graders in front of him, hang on to the ball and he could be a highly productive college RB. Seems like an old-school Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, or Miami type RB.- Texas RB Talk
Redshirting.... then transfer portal. Lack of carries, fumble history. Passed by on Depth Chart Baxter likely out for Kentucky game...- Texas Special Teams
Party after win... then redshirt so he can transfer Texas kicker Will Stone is expected to redshirt for the rest of the 2025 and maintain his eligibility for the 2026 season, Inside Texas has learned. Stone, a senior from Austin (Texas) Regents, will have one season remaining after redshirting this year. Stone has played in four games during the 2025 season as Texas’ kickoff specialist. He saw action at Ohio State, versus San Jose State, at Florida, and versus Oklahoma. He missed contests against UTEP and Sam Houston due to what Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian described as a back issue. This season, Stone has 20 kickoffs with eight touchbacks. One kick has sailed out of bounds. Inside Texas believes Stone has played his last snap at Texas, barring postseason appearances or anything else unforeseen. Postseason appearances do not count toward a player’s participation as it pertains to eligibility. Stone was set to compete with former Texas kicker Bert Auburn in the spring. Stone overtook Auburn at the end of the 2024 season. The Longhorns nabbed Mason Shipley out of the portal, and after Auburn left for Miami, Stone remained with the program. Shipley took over as Texas’ place-kicker while Stone remained the kickoff specialist. Stone has been the Longhorns’ kickoff specialist since his freshman season in 2022. He has 300 career kickoffs with 139 touchbacks and five kicks out of bounds. The Longhorns have not allowed a kickoff return for a touchdown during Stone’s time on the 40 Acres. The kickoff duties likely belong to Shipley, who stood in for Stone during his two-game absence. Shipley had 16 kickoffs with four touchbacks and one kick out of bounds. Since Shipley is right-footed, some things may have to change compared to how they were with Stone being a lefty. That shouldn’t be too much of an issue for Jeff Banks and company. Other specialists on the roster with kicking experience, whether in high school or college, are redshirt freshman Spencer Barnett and freshman Gehrig Heil.- Texas RB Talk

Nice to finally see a long 55yd punt that really dug Texas out of a hole in field position -- it kinda helped set up an interception for Texas Defense.- Official Coach Sark Thread of Dominance—haters back off

- Tell me about Iowa State
Emergency kicker time Carson Rhodes, a 310 pound, 6'8" fourth string freshman kicker at Iowa State, got the opportunity of a lifetime when he stepped in as emergency kicker during his team's game vs. the Buffaloes. Not the build we're used to seeing, but quite fun.- Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
Arch Manning on the mic The Longhorns got a nice win when they defeated the Sooners 23-6 in the latest installment of the Red River Rivalry on Saturday, and quarterback Arch Manning wasn't shy about how good it felt. Just before his postgame interview with ESPN's Holly Rowe, cameras caught Manning's lighthearted but definitely serious message to the reporter: "We needed that one Holly."- Bill Belichick Rides Again: Hired at North Carolina to build NIL NFL Factory
'This is Bill speaking' Chapel Bill really said, "I'll just clear this up right now." As the College GameDay desk discussed Bill Belichick's UNC future during the show on Saturday, host Kirk Herbstreit was spotted picking up his phone and angling the screen toward the rest of the panel as he spoke. When he went to put the phone down, however, co-host Pat McAfee interjected and urged Herbstreit to "answer that," implying for those watching at home that Herby was getting a call. Herbstreit said he couldn't, but McAfee continued: "Answer that! He has to be watching right now. That's literally Bill Belichick calling Kirk Herbstreit. He probably has something to say." Herbstreit did not pick up and the broadcast appeared to continue uninterrupted. But what a crazy moment—imagine if they got Belichick on the mic via speakerphone.- Alabama Football - Now Featuring Kalen DeBoer
