  1. There was a good article recently on Cig in the NYT/Athletic. He’s a coaches coach and a heck of a good guy. It’s great to see good things happening for him. Tonight we are all IU fans….
  2. Good luck to Tech and all but imo you can’t just buy success. Texas (UT) has Austin, a great university, a great team, and great coaches (and money) and even then it’s a challenge. Look at aggy. Football players qua mercenaries (or maybe mercenaries qua football players) won’t get it done. IMO.
  3. That scene where the organ starts playing by itself? Comedy my ass.
  4. Exactly. It's like they spent a ton of money on new wheels expecting the car to now be faster and better. The wheels may be better but the overall car still won't win. I guess as a Longhorn fan I'd rather have these players go to places like Tech (but obviously rather they go to Texas) rather than Ohio State/Georgia or some other school that's actually good.
  5. Same thing happened to my 2019 Chevy Suburban. My quote for a fix was $100. I think $250 is a bit high but don't know the particulars. There's some kind of $10 tool that allows one to reset/relearn the sensor. That might be worth a try. Just google it and see if it may help. Or, you can just ignore it. Which is what I've done before.
  6. Just got a summons for federal jury duty (Houston). Any advice? Bring lunch? Just park in one of the local garages? Are jeans ok?
  7. I just watched Lindsay on Close Call Sports and she agreed with the ejections ( as do I). She didn’t like the “shoo-fly” gesture but everything else was done absolutely correctly. I mean does the middle name have any relevance ? At all? Baseball has rules and follows them. I not against that.
  8. Why the hate? Best of luck to Kinne and Texas State. If aggy had half a brain they would've hired this guy and his staff instead of some obese douchebag from Duke.
  9. It's always a good time to be a Longhorn fan, but especially now. Reminds me of the Simpson's episode with Marge and the French bowling teacher (iirc): ah, better than the deed, better than the memory: the anticipation.
  10. With the gut on that guy I find it hard he's gone "toe-to-toe" with anyone.
  11. Not to be too impolitic, but aggy is less a "little brother" and more of a "slightly retarded second cousin" at this point. Or maybe not so slightly.
  12. I love sentences with “The Elk” and “fat”. just seem to belong together.
  13. Part of the perverse aggy "charm" is their congenital inability to make reasonable decisions or to make reasonable defenses of those stupid decisions. But then, those two things kind of go hand-in-hand. It's like when they said "the only bad thing about giving Jimbo that big of a contract is that we couldn't do it for 15 years". My god.
