  1. We were off with Baxter in what looked like a bad injury. Let’s wait and see but I’m going to be sick if it’s bad and he’s out for the season. He was night and day different from last year and put in the work in the offseason, both mentally and physically.
  2. Except they ran the fly over the entire game. We were killing them early with check downs and underneath stuff. The disappearance of our running game at times didn’t help
  3. Nah, our rush lanes were better this game. Gabriel is the only qb that has hurt us with his legs. You should be worried about any qb that make simple reads because our secondary is hot garbage at the moment.
  4. Familiar name
  5. Agreed. Turtle Tom flashback knowing we only beat Kansas st 19-14 that year.
  6. I think he really does means it but it’s being taken way out of context for its intended purpose. He’s not wanting them to treat it as the little league world series style of “fun”. This was right before AD caught the td pass to go up 10. It’s more about the guys being loose and going out enjoying the game they love. It is fun as hell to go out there and legally knock the shit out of somebody.
  7. Sam Pittman, is that you?
  8. Yay
  9. There was nothing over complicated, flashy or being described as “aesthetic” with the play designs on the goal line. First 3 runs were pure power. Our bigs vs their bigs, get 1 yard. Same with the throw to Worthy. Our best outside blocker and quickest wr. Get 1 yard. We failed on both.
  10. Not much different imo. It’s more about Herman not being a good coach. Sark could follow the foot steps of his predecessors and fail to get over the mediocrity hump (chuckles just sucked tho). The one thing Sark has going for him is he’s not as stubborn compared to Herman. Sark understands his flaws and try’s to correct them. He’s developed a good culture. The players, important people inside and outside the program, and all the fans like him and want to see success.
  11. Not cool with the double I remember thinking the same thing. Two weeks and this is the game plan? Herman was only going as far as Sam would take him.
  12. On top of Maryland, he absolutely shit the bed against Oklahoma st and West Virginia.
  13. OK, bad wording on my part maybe not the same. With Jaden Daniels and it being at home, they definitely have a chance. Ou wasn’t exactly lighting the world on fire against us man.
  14. The eye test says that Kansas and Oklahoma seem to be about the same. Ou probably has one more talented receiver, and definitely better linebacker play.
  15. Levi replied to Pancho's topic in Football
What if it was Ou’s best game when considering opponent? Before last Saturday, the two teams they struggled against, had somewhat of a pulse. We saw those same deficiencies in our game against them plus some out of character heroics from Gabriel as well. Relative to football grades, OU did not have an A+ Game against us. But I think looking at OU individually, they played about as good as they can given the talent they were going against. They will technically play better in upcoming games, but it will be against lesser competition.
  16. This is the first time I’m seeing this angle of the stoops completion, SIAP. It looks like Williams bit the underneath route from a running back of all people, instead of staying deep or keeping stoops in front of him. Looks like they went deep 3rds but he should still not bite on that, right? (Side note, Nash is getting a little over the top on Twitter).
  17. Eh, I would lean towards Sanders making a excellent catch in traffic and still a high throw from Ewers.
  18. I’m not sure it was entirely late of a throw since it was an RPO and he had to suck the linebackers in with the fake. He gets it out of the mesh point quickly in my opinion. Also, the linebacker seems to read it decently and wasn’t late on his jump in a effort to bat the ball down. With all that said, the throw is still too high, while also being a catchable ball. It sucks that Sanders’ attempt to retain the ball with his left hand while getting struck inadvertently knocked the ball in the air perfectly. Ewers definitely is inconsistent with this route tho. off the top of my head I can remember last year against Iowa State, he missed Sanders wide-open in the red zone and threw it over his head.
  19. Here’s a play that highlights Hill having fun instead of playing angry /s. Made that OU running back look like a little bitch
  20. I think the defense will be fine. They got to get some stuff figured out pertaining to containment which is easily fixable, and they have done that well before this game. Gabriel didn’t really hurt us either in terms of reading or defense, but rather his ability to scramble on down and distances. I thought this was interesting although I feel he didn’t flip a switch. PK did the heavy lifting for him.
  21. On top of that, the record that is tilted towards OU only shows how shitty we are at hiring good coaches.
  22. Pretty much this. During Sarks three years, I have never gotten the feeling that the team wasn’t ready for this game mentally. Kirk and Chris even pointed out that it was the most physical game that they witnessed so far this season. There were multiple times in the first half and after Ewers fumbled in the third quarter where they could have easily folded.
  23. Watts was out and replaced with a true freshman. PK also lost his starting safety quick into the game and was replaced by a true freshman. Hurry up offense can limit a dominant dline and put pressure on the secondary. Our weakest unit during the game on the defense was our secondary. Could be argued they are in each game. It’s not hard to realize why we struggled, especially defending the pass. Hell, even Thompson dropped an interception that he had a perfect read on.
  24. Replying to mine, we started on our 15 with 4:42. We should not be in hurry when we’re on their 49 with just over 3 min. Same thing for the second.
