Realignment talk not going away
Now, with the fiasco that's going on out west, does the ACC decide to play ball with ESPN and workout some sort of deal to let a select few teams move out at a reasonable price? Or find themselves willing to risk what their value will look like in 2036 when these teams bail anyways and no one is all that interested in your rights .. I could see ESPN reworking the contract for a little more money and a shorter term IF they believe the real money is in moving some of the ACC teams into the SEC.

Stanford stuck in that conference would be the funniest thing to ever happen in college sports.

It's kinda comical to watch different shows coming out of Pac territory. They cannot fathom a world in which the networks would consider the Big 12 more valuable than the PAC. it's 30 seconds of sports comparisons before before it turne into PAC vs big 12 academics. Which leads into no school would ever leave the PAC for Big 12. Which turns into the PAC will at least get 40 million... You know, the demand for spelling bees They refuse to bring up the networks spelled out who is more valuable to them when no one bid on the PAC product. The value they believed they had is leaving for the Big 10. The lack of exposure in the East had major consequences. The way they handled the almost coup of the Big 12 south division was beyond boneheaded

I would seriously be considering packing up and heading east... FOX had no interest in renewing. ESPN is only interested in filling it's 10pm EST slot. CBS and Turner only came for the coffee and donuts. NBC didn't even do that... I'd say that PAC stocks are in the dirt. Do you stay out west for obviously less money, while using the years you make the playoffs to make up for the exposure Prime isn't going to get you? Or do you head east for more money and the amount exposure that playing in timezones where college football is relevant will get you? Bringing in SMU and SDSU doesn't fix the lack of interest in the Pac, any more than one game against SMU (for some) help with getting you exposure. I wonder if Amazon really understands college football fans? I don't know what kinds of returns Amazon is banking on, but I have a suspicion it's going to fall way short, and this will be yet another Prime project that cost them millions... Well they probably won't lost money, because it's going to go for clearance prices...

I can't wait to see all of you sitting on each other's coattails, wondering why the gravy train ain't moving... No, the Big 12 members did step up after aggy left. That one got their attention, but the writing was on the wall, and neither OU or Texas could let the money divide keep getting wider. Texas probably would've set right a little longer, but OU couldn't afford to. Which at that time, Texas couldn't afford to have lost both aggy and OU.... The benefits of moving outweighed those of staying.

I know Oregon and Washington both want the BUG, but I think things will cool down until the ACC contract is close to ending then then endgame begins.. I think ESPN wants some teams from there in the PAC,. And I believe the big 10 probably has their eyes on a couple... ESPN knows the PAC is fucked so they arent going to give away money for rights that will be theirs in the Big 12 before long anyways

No there isn't anyone left. ESPN is looking for some top games in the west to air after the eastern and central games are done... They know no one watches those late games, but they get watched by more people than. 4 hours straight of game recaps do... So they aren't going to up their offer because they see the games as fillers and no one else is bidding... I don't think anyone was really ever bidding against Amazon, so for this still not to be done points to major issues with the money. They are not getting anywhere near the other conferences... No commissioner has ever gone to a school to personally recruit them. None have stepped foot on a none member's campus before, saving that for the press release with new members... One would think it would be SMU doing the work. Instead, it's been the opposite. That doesn't bode well for the PAC schools.

It's not the carrying that gets old, it's when you are already doing 80 percent of the work, while 2/3 of the others there to work are chilling under a tree and haven't moved all day and time is running out to have the job done before it starts cutting into your money because they are fine making enough to keep the lights on and the old lady happy. It's more than they've ever made before, while you are busting your ass because the roof is starting to leak, and the car is on it's last legs... When you feel the burden, is when you've hurt your knee and can't get the work done, and that still doesn't light a fire under the others asses. Because there's still guaranteed money coming in for a few more years and Iowa St will be back on it's feet before then...

I'm not sure, it will take years before the big 12 shakes out. I think the first thing they will have issues with, will be will take place behind closed doors, among the ADd. There's always sheep looking for someone else to take the lead and I'm not sure there's a pecking order established yet. I'm sure there's been some issues we've not heard about yet, nothing major, even though the sheep have been leaderless since 2021, it's just now become official, and are just now starting to relax with the Big 12 out of danger... The fireworks will happen once they are done patting each other's back for a job well done. The Big 12s had it's foundation shattered before anything was built on it and the first game played.

Someone will rise to the top eventually, they will never carry the conference. But that doesn't mean that they won't feel they do. Let certain schools go on a good run and make it fat into the playoffs a few times in a decade, and we will see what type of insufferable cunts they become.... And hope it isn't BYU. Cunts will be a polite way of describing them... Just think of what it would be like if aggy was still here... At least BYU will wait until there actually win something

The schools who were making the most noise about the PAC getting left behind are still there. I'd say that any PAC school who has other options are waiting to see what the deal they are offered looks like, and if it's somewhat behind the Big 12's there will be some jumping ship taking place. It was the PAC falling behind that put them in this mess, so I don't see those who can leave, sticking around just to continue falling 3v3n further behind... But 5hen again,. Does the Big 12 really want 4 pact teams? The sports mouths around FSU are making a lot of noise about getting out... I only mention it, not because I think the BIG 12 has a chance to snag them. I mention it because I remember us getting crucified over unequal revenue sharing as if UT not only created the concept, they were also the only team who benefited from it. But that's what FSU sports guys think the ACC has to do... The same talk was taking place out west also. It's funny how we are evil incarnate for being greedy, but when It's their coattail that's weighing them down from all the mouths on it, then it's fine to get more money than others. But you really got to love the hate that UT and OU is getting from the other Big 12 fans and sports media for leaving, knowing if their school's phone had rang instead, they would be the ones leaving. It will be interesting to see who rises to the top of the Big 12 amd feels the burden of shouldering a conference in which over half of the members are more than happy to let others do it, but then bitch about how it's being done...

I'm not sure if that move would've ever taken place or not, but the PAC didn't do themselves any favors by rushing to invite Colorado so there wouldn't be room for Baylor because there would be no polluting of the PAC 10 with a Christian school. Then a couple of days ago, I was listening to some PAC 12 mouth, they are fine with SMU joining, but really wish they could shake Baylor and TCU free... Oh how the arrogant have fallen... From having their finger on the trigger in position to effectively kill off the Big 12, but there would never be a Christian school in the sacred PAC 10, so the the power division of the Big 12 could either like it or fuck off. To having a Methodist school as one of the two "must have's", but wishing they could get Baptist Baylor and Texas Christian. The PAC have been fucking a duck the entire decade this round of realignment has been going on. Their. They have fucked themselves continually at only aggy could compete with. Whiffed on the entire Big 12 south... Which would've put the PAC shoulder to should with the other two. Whiffed again on OU, and in the process, likely killed any chance of OU 2ver looking west again when they made a public spectacle of telling OU to fuck off... As smart as they believed themselves to be, not understand that OU was offering them UT giftwrapped. It wouldn't have taken long for us to have followed. We damn sure wouldn't have went east at that time, too much bad blood with the gimp little brother... Then to prioritize getting the PAC into Asia over securing exposure in your home country, like where your recruits are going to be coming from, not to mention the viewers who actually know what an Oregon duck is. Or to be up to their nostrils in quicksand, but each time someone would consider throwing them a lifeline, to carry on as if they were the ones in the position of power and if they were lucky enough to allow them to carry the PAC games, they should be forever grateful, because obviously the PAC wasn't letting just anyone to carry their games.. But when the last AT&T lifeboat was about to push off from the Titanic, offered to make room for them, to insist not only on sitting at the front, but to have the entire bench to yourself? That's as aggy as it gets. Legends in their own minds... The punchline to the PAC joke was when they finally got the great visionary, Larry Scott out of there, it seems they replaced him with Larry Scott 2.0. I might be wrong, but from the outside, he seems to be every bit as arrogant and will say anything in the moment, without considering that within 24 hours, everyone will know he's full of shit and will make up shit just to look good in the moment without thinking about how it is going to make him/them look by morning. And that's aggy to the core. Fuck the Pac right along with OU.

If they are doing exceptionally well, they get fan support, but if they are not in competition for a conference title, it's back to COVID crowds in Houston. The first year or two, the fans will show up for home games, but if you see any UH fans when you host them, they are fakes, likely Hawkeye fans in disguise, looking to take a duce in unlocked cars.

New SEC divisions and pods thread (Page 38 starts recent discussion)
Not pods, but there's perms and the rest rotating, give me OU aggy and piggy as our perms and I'll be happy. But, it makes more sense based on revenue, having Mizzou play us and OU and aggy or maybe Arky? Having Missouri playing in the Eastern division, didn't do Missouri any favors developing any sort of regional rivalries, outside of Arkansas. About the only ones they can pair Mizzou with and generate revenue from is OU, and then either us, aggy, or Arkansas. It makes the most sense, money wise to put UT/OU/Aggy/Mizzou all playing each other as permanent games, and doing the same with the two Mississippi schools, LSU and Arkansas.i Which the makes it easier to group the other permanent games being. Bama, Auburn, Tenn, And Vandy, Georgia, Florida, So Car, and Kentucky It preserves the core of the SECs biggest rivalries, while giving LSU a bonus for losing the yearly Alabama game. But it isn't like they will only see Alabama a couple of times a decade +, they will still play them regularly. Keeping it simple by having permanent rivals grouped together like this, makes it easier to set the schedule to have at least two big time games every weekend. So, the only one bringing up pods is you...

New SEC divisions and pods thread (Page 38 starts recent discussion)
All I know is for a decade aggy has ran it's mouth about tu being scared to play aggy, blah, blah, blah.. But if you go to any social media post or sports site discussing this threads topic, and you will have no issue telling the difference between aggy comments and UT/OU comments. Aggy wants to be in a pod with Alabama, Auburn, and (insert name). The ones that realize Alabama isn't the place for them, have Florida as the replacement cock they want to suck. Good luck finding ann aggy wanting to be with tu (and don't waste your time looking for an aggy post wanting to and OU, I haven't seen an aggy comment even mention OU)... Now the UT and OU comments heavily favor UT/OU/aggy/pig--insert name-- 10 years of chest thumping of how they would own us, but now that there's a chance to do it, in true aggy form, they'd rather let their pussy lips show than to nut up... I never cared to play those fucks again, but since we are going to be in the same conference again? Fuck Yeah, I want aggy misery for Thanksgiving yearly! If they hadn't spent the last decade being insufferable cunts, I would care less wether we play them regularly or not, but now? I hope we make them beg the the Big 12 to take them back within a few years.

I'm still uncertain if manos de piedras Bury was really that fast? Or did no one bother covering him. I wonder how many times our QBs would see one of our jerseys open by yards down field... As the ball left his hand would think, "fuck me, I wish I that one back"...

Tell Me About Texas a&m
They all know if the offense doesn't perform, who Jimbo is going to throw under the bus at the end of next season, even if they didn't call a single play, or assign a single starter. That job is a liability for any OC trying to move up the ladder. Not sure what players will be there once the smoke clears. Most of the portal talent is going to be hard to land at aggy. The aggy OC job might not be career suicide, but it can easily set anyone's career back a few years. The risk outweighs the gains. Probably going to be a rough season for the offense. If by some miracle they don't get offered up as a sacrificial lamb after the first season, is half your talent going to hit the portal at the end of the year? Obviously something sent them scrambling to get away from Jimbo this year. Even if by some miracle the offense does decent, who will end up getting the credit? It's no secret who will catch all the shit if it doesn't. Either aggy will pony up another rediculous sum of money for an established OC, or they are bringing in the 12th man off the sidewalk.
