  1. Florida and Iowa St's talent/performance ratio is phenomenal. If that Florida coach can stay away from coeds he's going to build a dynasty.
  2. The plan seems to be to amass a shitload of athletes on the oline and figure it out from there. Nearly every knowledgeable football podcaster over the last few years has claimed that we ask our olinemen to do things that they aren't physically capable of doing. Looks like we'refinally attempting to get guys who are.
  3. The Big 10 wants to expand to 24 teams to prevent the playoffs from being an exclusively ESPN venture. ESPN gets rights of first refusal for any playoff with 16 teams or fewer. The broadcast rights open up for anything that goes beyond teams 16 teams. It's purely a play for the broadcast rights to be opened up to other networks. If they could do by expanding to 16 teams they would, but unfortunately they can't.
  4. I was never really impressed with Baxter from the start and never understood why he started over Jonathan Brooks to start that 23 season.
  5. I assumed you were specifically referencing regular season games.
  6. In the year Colt was drafted into the NFL, 5 of the first 6 draft picks were Big 12 players.
  7. He suffered from the same fate that many DCs turned HCs fail from, employing an offense that was completely risk averse and never seriously threatened his opponents. The former DCs who can stifle this instinct when they become HCs and either take risk with the offense they go with or take risk in their game management style are the ones who tend to have a bit more success.
  8. Heide doesn't seem to be a shooter that shoots all exceptionally well off of movement ie coming off of picks. His open looks are going to have to come mostly off of drive and kicks where he's somewhat stationary prior to receiving the pass. He’s a pretty big dude.
  9. Vokietaitis picked up an over the back foul on literally the weakest of the last 3 over the back instances.
  10. Another over the back and no call.
  11. How was that not over the back on the last defensive possession?
  12. Arch actually got better at not using the howitzer for every throw as the season progressed, but I agree with Codaxx. A throw that far to to the field side needs to have some zip on it to reduce the risk of a pick 6.
