So, I have this friend who was a chef in Florida and owned her own restaurant. Nice place. Anyway, one day Tom Smothers ends up there. Likes the food. He chats with friend about cooking for him at his tasting room and running the hospitality side. She is a bit of a hippie and wants out of Florida "where people don't appreciate her food" (her words) so off she goes to Sonoma County. Lives there on property and works with Tom for years until I think it sold or she quit--not sure. Anyway, when she left Tom gave her a case of wine where he had signed the bottles. A few years ago, she gives one to me. I had forgotten about it until I saw this thread. Went into dining room and found the dusty still-corked bottle.
Watched Old Henry while wrapping some gifts last week. Enjoyed it, but it seemed to lack any real depth. I would recommend it for a way to kill a couple of hours and if you want to scratch the itch for watching a western.
Not big TV watchers. Go weeks without turning it on. But watch lots of football and a few movies. Everything is streamed on Prime, Netflix--and we get TV through Youtube TV. Currently using a FireTV Cube to connect.
Woke up this morning to tons of emails about cheap TVs.
TCL 70" Class - S470G Series - 4K UHD LED LCD TV at Costco for $449
LG 70" Class 4K UHD 2160P webOS Smart TV - 70UQ7070ZUD at Walmart for $498
Is there anything I should be look for/cautious about? Any better rec?
Thanks in advance.
A friend that does custom leather work made me one for Christmas a few years ago. Personalized it for my hobbies. It is a single fold and fits in front pocket (although I almost always carry it in my back pocket or inside jacket pocket. One of my favorite gifts I have ever received.
