I appreciate the effort but freshman additions are going to invalidate the whole effort. Google Chet Holmgren. Absolute stud for Gonzaga. And they get Hunter Sallis. Nearly the same thing for Duke.
Reminder that when the marketplace opens tonight after the pack drop will be a good time to go value hunting. People tend to list their worse moments too cheap. Buyers will need moments to meet criteria for playoff pack drops in the future. Buy low now and list them for a price that locks in a nice profit.
I qualified for tomorrow’s criteria to buy a rare pack without really spending any money. I think my system is pretty good(but time consuming).
The criteria for buying packs going forward is going to be two fold: owning moments and spending in marketplace. So to accomplish both goals I buy moments for $5 and sell for $7($6.65 after fees). I try to keep 20 moments in my account at all times because you never know when they are going to snapshot your account. The best time to buy is after a pack drop. There is always people listing moments too cheap immediately after. If possible buy moments where only 1 or 2 is listed at the current price. If you buy a moment for $5 and there are 20 others listed for $5, obviously that inventory of 20 will need to be sold before anybody buys yours for $6 or $7 after you list.
This approach could probably be done with higher price moments but there is more risk and you have to understand the market better. I don’t think the cheapest moments will be less than $5 in a year but higher price moments could plummet.
If you want to buy rare packs ($99) in the future your goal should be: own 30 moments and have spent $500 in marketplace
Account goals if you want to buy legendary packs($1000): own 50 moments and 2 rare moments and $2000 in marketplace spending
These are my estimates based on the increasing pack requirements that we have seen.
I like this logic and chose to accept it. If we get a transfer at a position, we can get excited because we stole them from other schools. And if we don’t get a transfer at a position, it means we get excited because we are set at the position. Great success!
You can’t be serious. Coaches offers, recruit rankings, historical performance of top recruits. Not perfect, but we have pretty good data that has proven to be pretty accurate. Do I need to go on?
Sorry to hear that. 58k means there was $58,000,000 in qualified demand for packs. Pretty amazing. Especially considering there was probably another 58k like me that would have bought a pack but was unqualified.*
*wild guess
2,400 Legendary packs dropping tomorrow for $1,000. TopShot did a snapshot of accounts a couple hours ago. You have to have met one of these requirements to be eligible:
✅Own 15+ moments ✅Own 2+ Rare moments ✅Own 1+ Legendary moments ✅Spent $999 in the marketplace
There’s nothing you can do now to be eligible for tomorrow’s drop. I’m kicking myself because I was going to buy some cheap moments last night just in case they did a snapshot. TopShot mentioned they will continue to do unannounced snapshots going forward. I’m going to buy 20 moments for $5 each and list them for $7 or $8 bucks. This will keep my moments count high and increase my “amount spent in marketplace”.

That forum has gone more off the rails than I thought possible. Just stunning.
they nuked the thread shortly after I posted. Sorry.
Same. It’s so enjoyable to realize there are Tech 24/7 readers that truly believe there is a single restaurant in America that limits the amount of butter you can get. What tubes to believe that story is remotely possible.
TopShot announced during office hours today that there will be a Legendary drop in Mid April. There will be restrictions and only people with “strong collections” will be allowed to purchase. They did not expound on what “strong collection” means. The requirement will be announced shortly before the pack drop and it’s not intended for collectors to be able to do a last minute purchase. So expect people to speculate on what the requirements will be.
Also, Mike Conley narrated his All Star moment. He approached the TopShot team, they didn’t approach him. Pretty cool.
