Top 10 is not guaranteed. February is some time off. Even if we finish top 10 the ranking itself does not mean much in the larger scheme of things. I won't rehash all the misses and needs etc but saying that we got top 10 class and ignoring the glaring negatives is more than a bit self deceptive. This board tends to pendulate between euphoria and meltdown at the drop of a hat. If your re amazed by that at this point it is on you and you are the salty vagina complain in that the zebra has stripes
One can criticize the staff for their misses and priase them for their wins at the same time. At this point it is clear there is more than one weaklink in the staff and changes are in order like i said a few days ago, this is a staff made up of 3-4 elite recruiters and bunch of jags. Or do you disagree?
We are most likely getting LB Caleb Johnson, OT Hookfin.
We lost ATH Powell who will commit to Baylor (legacy).
There is some chance we may lose Marcus Washington. Kennedy Lewis is his backup.
S Catalon is total unknown. IMO, most likely Arkie.
Chances for ATH Bru, RB Sanders or RB Cain are slim. RB glass is the backup.
There was secret visitor over the weekend who may or may not be Carrington himself.
There are 2shhhs waiting to drop.
That sums up about last 20-25 pages.
Now that we seem to have missed on our top targets, it is actually perversely glorious watching mental midgets gymnasticating their way into believing Glass is a good RB. There is a reason he is so down on our board. There is a reason he is not being recruited by any of the national powers. We need a game breaker at RB. He could very well turn out to be that guy, but the odds are against it. Problem is that we got lapped by better recruiters this cycle for most of our players. We had to settle for guys down the board and it is looking like a hohum class right now. The staff is a 3-4 elite recruiters and a bunch of JAGS.
This staff needs a recruiting makeover. We have lost too many top of the board guys. I'll get flamed but I'll say it. This is turning into NOT a championship caliber class.
Based on the kids actions we are the last option for him. Drayton has been on him for 2 years. He has had numerous chances to commit and become the lead back in our class.
Reminds me of Tre Watson. But a bit faster and shiftier. Will have decent production as freshman. Could blow up to one of the top backs in conference as upperclassman.
Came across this on USF's SB Nation site. USF fans have the same gripes that Texas fans had about Strong. Looks like he learnt nothing from his time at Texas. They are ready to fire him. Looking back, can't fathom how dysfunctional we were in hiring Charlie. He is a terrible HC. There were imbeciles on this very board defending him even after he lost to KU. Unfuckingbeleiveable.
