Texas 2025 Roster
yeah i could see that being the KO return duo and Niblett starting off as PR with Butler being worked in. I think Niblett could an X factor next year. Somewhat of a veteran, played multiple roles, good measurables. I seem to recall a nice short yardage run where we made a subtle nice move that gained yardage (may have been a TD, not sure if he registered one last season), iirc it was (ahem) inside the 5. 247sports - Ryan Nibblet Just a portion of his H.S. Jucys Hamburgers isn't depressing. Have eaten there a time or two although it's been a while. Good burgers and the complimentary beans are too.

Beer 2025: Merry Christmas Everyone, Including the Haters and Losers
I sometimes ask myself the same question. There are a ton of them on the shelves at HEB and seem to be over-represented. OTH, someone must like them for there to be so many. I haven't rendered a judgement overall, but I've only tried three IPA's to date: Shiner Wicked Ram IPA, Saint Arnold Art Car and the recently posted Sierra Nevada Fresh Hops IPA. Of those three, I liked the Shiner Wicked Ram IPA. Alas, it appears to be discontinued -- go figure. Not enough of a sample size for me to declare definitively one way or the other, but I'm a bit hesitant to buy them having disliked 2 of 3 so far, when there are so many other promising prospects. Having said that, while I like pilsners, Ive tried more that I didn't like, than those that I do. Shiner Premium Beer is one of those I do like.

A very sad tale of self-destruction and such a waste. Had high hopes for him and really thought he was bought-in based on his recruitment and communications back then. Would not have predicted this outcome. If he would have doubled down on improving, I believe he'd be in the starting rotation.

In the voice of some prof from years gone by, "that likelihood is vanishingly small, the proof of which is left to the interested student."

Texas 2025 Roster
that was before he lost blue. While I wouldn't be altogether surprised if they (Sark/Choice) were to change their minds, I seriously doubt Choice wasn't aware of Blue likely being gone when he made the statement. If you heard the statement, it's kind of an awkward one to explain away (to the RB's in the room) ... sort of like open mouth, insert foot.

Transfer Cycle 2024-2025 - Stop Being Poor
Gerry Hamilton and CJ Vogel are optimistic that Simon can run in between the tackles and handle short yard situations. Here they're talking about early enrollees and I've linked it to where they start talking about James Simon.

Definitely something to consider at this point. We all hope Baxter comes back and is good to go coming off the injury. Which version do we get though? We forget that before the last few games Baxter could break at tackle to save his life, his YAC was astronomically bad. The last few he had started to run hard though. Choice has stated he has no intention of pursuing a RB from the portal when asked recently.

Hopefully Clark bucks the odds, but wouldn't count on either him or Baxter until they show they can do it following recovery. James Simon coming in may prove worthy in short yardage situations and between the tackles. Vogel and Gerry below talking about the incoming class. I've linked it to start with their comments about James Simon.

Transfer Cycle 2024-2025 - Stop Being Poor
Is Hutson a shoo-in for center? Neither he nor Neto inspire confidence. If I recall Connor Robertson and Daniel Cruz are the other names I've heard associated with playing center, but obviously fewer snaps and less time incubating. At guard wondering if Connor Stroh or Andre Cojoe will make their presence known. Other side of the ball, I'm cautiously optimistic about our two DT portal additions. Lole and Norton were better than expected and hoping part of that was due to Baker's coaching. One or two more from the spring window would be nice.

Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
Shortly before KJ Lacey's ... I wonder how long, or if, we can keep all three on the roster. I think Owens, in particular, was underrated. Oh well, all of them still have to definitively show they can play at this level and expect growing pains. The OL probably takes a step back for a bit I imagine. As for this season, I'd like to have seen Arch get more snaps than he did down the stretch for his development. I really disliked him coming in for only a single snap, run only situations. I think it exposed him to a greater risk of injury and limited his development. I suspect this was largely due to Sark wanting to dampen controversy noise. Water under the bridge at this point.

Transfer Cycle 2024-2025 - Stop Being Poor
Early in the season, I thought he was a liability in coverage. He dialed in nicely though and, as you say, was nails from then on. I'm hopeful Jelani McDonald takes the next step. He's been fantastic downhill. Hope he and Williams push each other.

Transfer Cycle 2024-2025 - Stop Being Poor
While what you say is generally true, neither of Bond and Golden blocked worth a shit. Gunner left a lot to be desired in that regard too. Otherwise, though, they were solid receiving production. I'm optimistic Wingo will be a more complete WR for us. He was underutilized this season. That probably changes with Arch and another off-season of development.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
Is there anything definitive pointing to him not being fully recovered other than supposition? I get that Goosby was less than stellar against ASU, so there is reason to believe that it was a decision of suboptimal options available. I wonder if Cam will ever realize his full potential.
