"the bear" - new series on fx
Finished season 2 in 3 nights. TV shows rarely get me like that anymore. So refreshing how it’s an ensemble and every character is worth rooting for - and it’s not some dopey surface level show. Totally against the grain for quality TV over the last 2 decades. The second half of the season was so good. May rewatch.

AL-NL Division Series 2022
Agreed on scheduling, wonder if that’s a one off this year though based on the lockout late start.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power - Amazon Prime
Show turned up a notch

Industry (HBO)
Just finished. I want season 3

Industry (HBO)
This seems to be getting better. Adding depth to the characters has really helped; it feels less surface level lifestyle/HBO porn and more character story. Still not great, but not bad…I’m enjoying it. the UK/Europe background definitely helps

2022 Annual of Three Putting
Pinehurst in a month. Trying to fill an open morning with an off site course. Having a hard time with Pine Needles, Mid Pines, and Southern Pines. Any suggestions?

Can’t imagine Reed is invited back after his lawsuits.

LIV tour discussion
Tough couple of weeks for LIV guys, especially with the OWGR points about to take a nose dive. The major winners with active exemptions will stay relevant, but the others will be forgotten pretty quickly.

2021-22 PGA thread
The concept from the top players is a good start. Still wish they would modify the playoffs to finish with match play at different venues.

The movie you just watched
Agreed, did not like. Also kind of predictable.

House of the Dragon
Sepinwall’s review killed my excitement for this.

The movie you just watched
RRR on Netflix. Can’t really think of words to describe it, but I loved every second of it (and it’s 3 hours).

"the bear" - new series on fx
Wasn’t there a scene in an early episode with Carmy bitching to the older guy about getting tomatoes in smaller cans rather than larger more efficient cabs? I loved this, but also feels like this could be great as a 1 and done show.

LIV tour discussion
The higher prize money was always coming since the new TV deal kicked in. The new schedule (starting in fall 2023) seems to be a more direct response to LIV by responding to player feedback for more of an offseason, etc. It will be interesting to see how that goes.

2021-22 PGA thread
If they made the FedEx Cup playoffs more interesting it could fill the gap.
