Every time AD has been acquired one of the teams involved has controversially won the lottery that year. 2012.- The NBA owned the Hornets and had a deal in place to sell the team likely with AD guaranteed. Hornets get the #1 pick with the 4th best odds. 2019- The Pelicans agree to trade AD to the lakers and magically get the #1 pick with the lakers moving up to #4 as well to help seal the deal. Pelicans win the lottery with 6% odds moving up 6 spots. 2025- Luka gets traded for AD and little else. Mavs move up 10 spots and win the lottery with a 1.8% chance. 2026- TBD
Curious if this is a signal they have the replacements lined up. Ffrench jumped in the portal right before the Coleman momentum swung our way. Barnes was on the fence to stay then Biles started going our way.
In speaking with friends the last couple of weeks they all share this sentiment. They truly believe that Miami winning a championship makes them relevant and keeps them in the spotlight.
Missed all of the fun yesterday while stuck in Waco. Adding Coleman will alleviate Sarks goal to goal issues. Dez Bryant is my comp there. Smothers/Brown won't get caught 10 yards down the field like the last couple of years. Did anybody make the Biles/Spetic make up a shitty portal class joke yet? Waiting to see the OL haul before crowing Sark/Texas for 2026
At least one of those were built here with the help of glasscock Also adding to the GM conversation LSU didnt retain Austin Thomas who was viewed as highly as glasscock in the last couple of years
