Miami was fucking horrible this year. Straight putrid. They looked exceptionally worse than we did in 2021 at 5-7. They were completely bullied out of games and also lost close games due to idiotic coaching and player mistakes (aggy game for example). No matter how many mercs they buy I don’t see that team being legit any time soon.
God, the guy saying this is because their boosters aren’t giving enough money is fully depleting my dopamine rn. That is the icing on the cake of excuses and conclusions drawn from this season.
It’s hilarious they act like these “depth guys” are no big deal when they had so many “injury” issues this year. One of the most “injured” teams in all of CFB and they don’t see it as a problem that their roster is basically one or two actual injuries away from a complete and total implosion.
Proximity to home when talking about Austin vs Houston is laughable. There is no way that is a legitimate reason. It’s a 2-2:30 hour drive depending on where you’re coming from. If you ever need to go back home you can go there and back same day no problem.
If anyone chooses that dumpster fire in Houston they deserve nothing but bad things. There’s nothing about that program or school that is desirable in any form.
So Bobby Taylor went from openly saying he’s leaving the team mid season to play for Deion while having his dad trash the staff and players on instagram to now recruiting Anthony Hill back to CS? How does any of that make sense.
Also, sounds like CU knows exactly what they’re signing up for from my friends connected to that school. They’ve got one guy that may be a John Ruiz - Miami type but we’ll see. They’ve got some money they’re ready to spend to try and rid themselves of the stench of the last however many years. The hire is weird to me but they desperately needed to find a way to attract talent.
Even if it is Grimes and he did run the offense, that is not worrisome in the slightest. Baylor fans I know are not pleased with his constant turtle-ing in games and that was on display yesterday, just like it was the week before against TCU.
