  1. It would look great if the state was white like the Erwin Center. If it’s kept as a “shadow” silhouette it’d look better with just the Longhorn logo. Just my 2 cents
  2. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong here, but didn’t wind and solar actually outperform anticipated production during the freeze, or at least relative to natural gas, coal, and nuclear? He’s just pandering to the anti-renewable energy crowd who thinks the grid failure was somehow due to GND policies.
  3. This ought to do the trick:
  4. This is what Abbott is competing against

Hopefully moving to HBO Max gives him more freedom and time to do more remote segments again. That’s when Conan’s at his best.
  6. Klatt is by far the best analyst of the current group. Excellent insight and he’s pretty fair and balanced. He’s one of the few who doesn’t constantly suck off the SEC and really has been quite generous towards us in the past as well even though he’s had plenty of opportunities to kick us while we’re down. As far as play by play, Gus’s energy is great, but I also really enjoy listening to Brad Nessler. Fowler sucks.
  7. Obviously Mexico is going to donate all the money needed to build the wall this time
  8. Damn, Beard wasn't fucking around when he said he expected to win right away and next year would not be a "rebuilding" year. Let's go!!
  9. Got around to seeing A Quiet Place Part 2 this past weekend. Really solid movie. Better than the first IMO. Emily Blunt and Cillian Murphy are really good in it. Also impressed with the child actors.
  10. Number of games played doesn't matter - what's mattered is brand name and tv appeal. Ohio State made it in with 6 games but if it had been Indiana sitting there at 6-0 they would've likely been snubbed in favor of aggy. If a team like Oklahoma or Texas are sitting there at 12-0, we'd still have gotten into the playoff because of who we are. Playing the Championship game is totally counterproductive because you run the risk of an undefeated regular season champ losing in the championship game rematch against a team they'd already beaten and thus knocking the conference out of the 4 team playoff or missing a bye or home field advantage in the expanded playoff. The only way we should keep a Championship game is if the conference adds 2 teams and goes back to divisions instead of round robin scheduling with a championship game rematch.
  11. Klatt’s one of the best in the biz. Seems pretty reasonable and not an enormous douche like Herbie. Also always has really solid in-game analysis on his broadcasts too.
  12. Is Sydney Benter the one with the longass neck? That’s all I ever noticed
  13. I read this right after I saw this ridiculous billboard with Huffines on it with something about finishing the wall. He’s just doing this to neuter any potential threat he sees from Huffines or Miller or whoever else may run. Next he’s gonna campaign on abolishing property taxes like Huffines. Republican math: let’s build a wall that will cost billions of dollars AND cut taxes.
  14. There are few things better in sports than the atmosphere of big college football games on college campuses. With the exception of Texas-OU, neutral site games in college football dilute the energy and pageantry of college football and makes the sport feel more “corporate” so to speak. Nevertheless they’re going to end up making most of them neutral site probably just because of sponsorships and whatnot.
  15. Only the semifinals and championship game should be neutral games IMO. Not the quarterfinals.
  16. The possibility of having some playoff games played at college campuses is one of the biggest Pros in my book. The atmosphere of big games on a college campus is what helps make college football so great.

Isn’t the XFL supposed to come back around the same time as well?
  18. The Longhorn looks much better than it did in the initial renderings. The new SE looks phenomenal
  19. Give him the Carl treatment

Obviously he wants that Jeopardy hosting gig
  21. Funny how they claim “America First” but then oppose legislation like the Biden Infrastructure plan that would greatly benefit most of America (including most or all of their constituents).
  22. Fun fact: it only took one take. I think they bought 10 pizzas in preparation for multiple takes but it landed like that on the first take so they had a bunch of leftover pizza.
