Sark after dark COACHING STAFF thread
The big ones that could be looking besides Michigan would be Auburn, Notre Dame, LSU, and possibly aggy if Elko leaves, so if he doesn’t come here it’d have to be one of those I’d imagine. Unless he wanted to give the NFL a shot.

Don’t want Steele. Wasn’t he basically undermining Gus the whole time and angling for the Auburn HC job?

Could help us snag some quality receivers through the transfer portal too if there are many quality ones available

Official Coach Sark Thread of Dominance—haters back off
For years I've seen people on Surly and Shaggy lament the fact that we need to hire a Head Coach that will bring the best staff money can buy, not just their P5 buddies. Based on the names we have seen floated for a potential staff and the fact that he has connections from his time in the NFL and previous college coaching stops, Sark will do exactly that. If he hires a staff that is full of recruiting witches, that sets us up uniquely to capitalize on the impending "free agency" period with the upcoming transfer period. If Sark was good enough for Saban to view as a successor at Bama, he's good enough for us. He knows his shit and seems to be a different person since his Washington and USC days.

Tom Herman Fired as UT Football Coach
National Sports Media before season: “this is finally Texas’ year to make a playoff push!” National Sports Media after disappointing season resulting in a coaching change: “Texas fans have such unrealistic expectations. What a toxic culture! No way any coach will succeed there!”

Would he be expected to call plays too, or hire a play caller so he can focus on the big picture?

Clemson needs to slow down Sermon and they can win this. OSU can't rely on Fields to make big plays in the passing game when he's having to play scared.- 2021 Sugar Bowl - Ohio State vs Clemson 7PM on ESPN
That hit is still in Fields' head so he was trying to just get rid of the ball before being hit, which resulted in a poor decision- 2021 Sugar Bowl - Ohio State vs Clemson 7PM on ESPN

Helobious's nuts are breathing a huge sigh of relief right now- The Mandalorian (Star Wars live action show)
The prequels at least were all working towards a shared vision and outcome. The prequels also had good "world building" aspects too with some of the planets and environments it introduced. The ST did none of that. Like you said, it's mind boggling that Disney made such a significant investment in buying the Star Wars property, but didn't bother to have an overarching plan. Episode 9 perfectly incapsulates that because they just plopped Palpatine/Clone Palpatine or whatever the fuck that was as the main villain because Snoke was inexplicably killed. TFA actually wasn't terrible in a vacuum in my opinion, but looking at it as a whole finished product, it's ridiculous how much it set up that went absolutely nowhere or was straight up shit on in TLJ and ROS. I'm excited to see where F&F take this story with the shared Cinematic Universe. That being said, I'd like to eventually see more in the Old Republic-era as opposed to the Skywalker era.- The Mandalorian (Star Wars live action show)
I think the prequels benefitted from having a cohesively planned story arc (compared to the ST at least). The Sequels as a whole are poorly written and suffer from bad character development because they were basically planned like cinematic improv with different directors creating their own story without really building off of previous entries. The Star Wars cinematic universe seems to do quite the opposite right now with The Mandalorian, and soon Ahsoka, BoBF, and Rangers of the New Republic. It’ll be interesting to see how they build towards their own shared climax and how/if they tie into the sequels to possibly try and strengthen that story and make it more palatable. Or they could just totally ignore the sequels. Not necessarily retcon them, but also not compliment them either.- Urban Meyer or bust
