Give me a fucking break. There are plenty of corporatist Democrats who are just as beholden to our broken healthcare system as the GOP. This issue transcends party. Attribute it to a single election all you want, doesn't make it so.- CEO of UHG Shot and Killed in NYC - WTF is wrong with you New York

Is your argument that people whose family members needlessly die or suffer in agony because of assholes like the UHC guy should just lay back and take it? Sorry pal, that's just the system we have, nothing you can do about it. Maybe submit a letter of concern on your congressperson's website? It seems you have no problem with corporate murder, but blanche at the thought of a citizen punishing a key player in that system. Fuck off with that pearl clutching. It's not murder if it's justified.- CEO of UHG Shot and Killed in NYC - WTF is wrong with you New York
Nah. What has peaceful political discourse gotten the hundreds of thousands if not millions who died before they needed to, suffered horribly, or went bankrupt because of the greed of the private healthcare industry? They should just accept their unjust fate and not fight back?- Bill Maher has become the whiny little bitch he complains about

I'm happy you received the care you needed from UHC. But you do realize your anecdotal experience is hardly a useful data point in assessing the quality of outcomes for 340 million people?- CEO of UHG Shot and Killed in NYC - WTF is wrong with you New York
These insurance companies effectively murder or make life a living hell for millions of people every year purely for profit. They are evil. I'm glad this asshole was killed. Perhaps more executives of shitty companies that hurt lots of people should be killed. It just might cause some companies to stop being so evil, if only for self preservation. I recently switched to Geico and it was 1/3rd the price of our prior carrier Liberty. I've never made a claim so I can't speak to the quality of the coverage.- Recommend or sell me some insurance (auto/home)
I just switched my parents' car from Liberty to Geico. Went from $3,000/yr to $500/yr. I've personally had Geico for 12 years on multiple cars. Only one claim for a broken window from a parking lot hit and run. Super easy process getting it fixed and paid for.- Game week 13, 2024, Texas at aggy

I reduced my sugar intake pretty dramatically a year ago after high glucose blood work, then quit alcohol in January. Went from 177 to 155 pounds this year. I've been doing a basic dumbbell workout along with pushups 3x a week along with running/walking/elliptical cardio 6 days a week. I have decent muscle tone, but I feel the gains have plateaued. Come January I want to revamp my workout to increase muscle gain.- All Encompassing Mortgage and Real Estate Thread

I feel like the last few times I've gone to La Fonda, the food quality was way below what it was when I was growing up. They used to have the fajitas, for example, come out nice and charred on the searing hot skillet. The most recent time I ordered it, it came out on a plate and the fajias looked so sad. I haven't been back since.- Traditional Mexican fare-San Antonio. NOT on river walk
Rosarios. Sol Luna. Mirasol. Los Barrios. Guajillos.- Commercial property sale commissions
What's a reasonable commission for the listing/buyer brokers for a commercial property sale in the $5 to $7 million range? I've seen 5% total commission suggested for deals up to $5 million then dropping a percent or so for the $5 to $10 million range. If the buyer doesn't use a broker, is it reasonable to limit the listing broker's commission in the listing agreement to what it would be with a buyer's broker involved (say 2 or 2.5%)? I came across a hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant called Susanas in Southtown today. It had 5 stars with 40+ reviews so I gave it a shot. I had the enchiladas verdes and they were legit. The family that runs it were really friendly. It was $8.99 for the lunch plate.- Recommend me a carry-on backpack
I have the 40L Eagle Creek bag and it's definitely high quality and durable. The only downside to it is that it's a bit too large to fit under a seat as a "personal item" which is becoming more of a thing as airlines more frequently charge for the overhead carry-on. I flew United domestically a few weeks ago and the gate staff were enforcing the small-personal-item-only rule and charging those of us poors in the super economy section for larger bags. I'd say 35L is the sweet spot for avoiding that.- Who's been covid vaxxed? Stand up and be counted.
I got the flu shot and pfizer booster yesterday around 8 a.m..and then passed out around 8 p.m. A little arm soreness, but otherwise I feel back to normal.- Wireless Office Network - Omada, Ubiquiti, etc...?
I appreciate the advice. The fastest I've gotten to a gig on speed tests is 600ish mb. Is there a particular modem you'd suggest?- Wireless Office Network - Omada, Ubiquiti, etc...?
That's nearly exactly the setup I'm looking at. There's an outdoor patio area so I'm planning to have an exterior AP as well. I checked with Google Fiber and unfortunately they're not in my part of downtown (San Antone) just yet. I'll be looking at other providers as well, but I may be stuck with Spectrum.- Wireless Office Network - Omada, Ubiquiti, etc...?
It's for a cowork space, so the data type will probably mostly be piddly. But it will probably be a mix of types depending on users on any given day. I'm going to look into other internet providers. Spectrum is already in the building and bringing in a new provider may be costly, but also maybe worth the expense.- Wireless Office Network - Omada, Ubiquiti, etc...?
I'm creating a wireless network for an office space that will serve up to 50 users at a time. I'm researching TP Link's Omada, Ubquiti's Unifi, and a few others. The space is about 4,000 sf and is an open floor plan without interior walls or large obstructions. The internet provider is Spectrum and I currently have a gig plan. After I set up a wireless network, I'll test the speed and consider enterprise offerings if the gig service is lacking. I need reliability, speed, security, and simplicity of use. I may end up hiring an IT/networking company to set this up, but I'd first like to get objective opinions about the options. Opinions on forums like Reddit are all over the place. One person swears by a system and then another says it's the worst system ever. I appreciate any insights. - CEO of UHG Shot and Killed in NYC - WTF is wrong with you New York
