  1. Agreed. I was just reponding to another quote. If Clark were my son I would advise him to at least go to a team where he will get on the field, he is too good of a RB to not be playing.
  2. That was my experience as a RB, and it's seemed to be the case watching football at all levels. I think it has to do with things like the timing of hitting the holes, you can actually get there too fast, getting used to the speed of the games as apposed to practice, it's just what I think, I could be wrong.
  3. If he was holding us hostage, then fuck him. He may have just wanted to get something on film before he graduated. All these guys think they are going to the NFL
  4. Clark waited his turn and had a great bowl game. It takes a RB a while to get warmed up in a game, and a few games with playing time to get broken in. I think this is one they may regret letting go. I don't know if the sophmores and incoming freshmen are getting paid anything, but I would have let them go and kept CC. I don't know what more you could have asked from him.
  5. It looks like this offseason the NCAA is fully morphing into semi-pro football. I thought there was still a chance it would basicaly still be college football and we would get used to the changes, but with all of the historic Bluebloods rosters getting cannibalized, I see that is no longer possible. It's too bad, I quit watching the NFL years ago, college football was something unique, I really enjoyed watching the guys play for the love of the game.
  6. I guess making Jabbar Juluke Associate Head Coach was a way of getting him more money? The drop off from Tashard Choice with the same RBs was especially noticable with the YAC. I think sometimes people believe RBs can't be coached, that it's all innate talent, but Chad Scott showed how important coaching is.
  7. Sark being in the hot seat ranks right up there as one of the dumbest thoughts I've seen on here.
  8. I'm done hearing that Texas has a "Top Five" NIL. You only have Arch one more year, and there's no telling what rule changes may come, let's spend so much money this year they have to make rule changes. Don't worry about team dynamics or what your paying everyone else, it's time to get reckless with the money. That's a sensible move at this juncture.
  9. A lot of RBs don't have the greatest hands. I don't think Wingo has great hands. They can use a little help. If Arch wouldn't throw every ball like he's trying to knock guys heads off his completion percentage might go up ten points. Quinn was useless throwing down the field but he had a great touch on the ball. I hope Arch cleans this up in the offseason.
  10. With the exception of Wisner in a couple of games the RBs have been a huge disapointment, and there have been multiple other issues, but it just has to be noted for posterity that, for whatever reason, Arch had his head up his ass during the first part of the season. He played well last year and he is playing even better now. Your skills don't come and go. The guy was having psychological issues. He could'nt even believe how bad he was playing. He's human. He cracked under the pressure, and by the time he got it together their season was shot. Hopefully the episode was a one-off.
  11. You deny saying that but then give a detailed explanation of why these people have no control over it. There are many psychiatrists that disagree even if the "top science in the field" says that. Yes there are people that are better off never touching alcohol again, but many people are able to conquer the problem and learn to drink in moderation.
  12. This idea is taken as fact by many people. It was thought up by some alcoholic in the 1930's and is now ingrained in the big business of addiction recovery. I can't think of a more counterproductive way to think of an addiction - or any problem you're facing, than to proclaim that you have absolutely no control over it. Many psychiatrists dispute the idea of "once an addict, always an addict," and feel that it that it hinders recovery. We let murderers rehabilitate and rejoin society, but if you get addicted it's a life sentence.
  13. All we've been hearing for years is how much money Texas has. But I have heard Sark say they have a number for certain positions or players and that's just it. Are we trying to prove some point by not using all of that money? Or are the alumi a bunch of cheap bastards? Please explain why we are not dominating the portal and outbidding everyone for recruits.
  14. On Vanderbilt's first possesion, 2nd play from scrimmage, Collin Simmons tackled RB Miles Capers and then as they were getting up Simmons dragged his junk across Capers' face, setting the tone for the rest of the game. I have seen some high school players doing this recently. Is there a name for this move?
  15. Vandabuilt tight ends humiliated the secoundary, hopefully that was Taaffe being out.
