  1. Don't worry. Presidents aren’t allowed to go to war without congressional approval.
  2. Thank you for the tips on the pork butt. It came out great. I merged four different recipes into one:
  3. I was really unhappy with the roster Miller put together, but when he went off on them a few weeks ago, and then told that one player pre-game that he can help him move-on if things are too tough for him, that really caught my attention. Ever since those things happened the team has shown much more resolve. They still make too many silly fouls, as Miller mentioned, and do some dumb things that drive me crazy but they are winning and look better than earlier in the year. That’s a good sign.
  4. The vote blue site is great because it lists all endorsements not just Austin chronicle’s.
  5. Just also found Blue Voter Guide as well.
  6. I'm starting to prep for the primary vote, and I'm looking for a guide that shows all of the endorsements for each candidate on my ballot, in Leander, Travis County. Does that exist? I will be voting in the Democratic Primary.
  7. The nature of the disagreement is unclear. I’m not arguing that aliens are definitely real and have been here. On that, we should be in agreement. What I am arguing is that based on the evidence presented so far, no one, and I mean NO ONE, can DEFINITIVELY rule it out. That’s what many of you seem to be doing, and frankly you sound like a bunch of flat earthers in doing so. If that hasn’t been your intention, then it has come across that way and you ought to clarify your position.
  8. Wait, you really don’t understand the fallacy of the argument you are making? UFO Evidence Holder - “here is extensive eye witness testimony, video, pictures, and radar signatures of unidentified craft. We have confirmed that it is not from our military and highly unlikely to be from one of our allies or adversaries.” You - “Cool. While I have no information to refute the possible existence of aliens visiting us, I’ll just go ahead and declare this to not be that. Oh, and I acknowledge there probably are beings out there. I’m just confident they can’t get here because our primitive culture must already understand every single law of physics and I’m going to ignore scientists like Einstein.” Compelling thesis.
  9. There’s this guy. His name is Einstein.
  10. You completely misread my post. I am not saying they have definitive evidence they are hiding. Not saying that at all. I’m just saying no one has irrefutable proof that there aren’t aliens, but meanwhile declare that there aren’t without the proof. You can’t have it both ways. You can’t take video and eye witness evidence that as yet hasn’t been discredited, without any proof to discredit it. You can’t have it both ways.
  11. There is quite a bit of evidence, including several videos that have been released in the last few years by our own government, along with statements that these videos are not of our military and that they are unclear of their origin. Those are facts. Not crackpots. Period. You have chosen to believe all of this video and eye witness evidence can’t possibly be alien craft, despite having in many cases no evidence that it’s not. You are no better than the crackpots who believe stories despite strong evidence that the stories are false, you’ve just done it in the other direction. And it’s hilariously ironic that you don’t even recognize it.
  12. While you might be right that there never have been any legitimate sightings of alien spacecraft, I continue to be amused by your unbending certainty in your opinion, even though there is a real possibility you are completely wrong.
  13. By full split king do you mean the two sides have an edge all the way down the bed? Does that mean you can’t really sleep in the middle? We’ve had a sleep number king for over 10 years and it doesn’t feel full anymore, even though we pump it up often. Would like to get the split or partial split but I worry about middle sleeping or having to buy special sheets
  14. To be fair to the witnesses, they didn’t describe it that way in previous testimony and on the documentary. They did when requested to try and size it. I could see people getting flustered and not estimating size right at all. One of the witnesses said it filled the sky above him and he couldn’t see around it. If it was directly overhead him, how would one size that? You can’t. There were dozens of witnesses to unusual phenomena around the same time, several on the same night. That’s an awful lot of coincidences, and they had a lot to lose by coming forward. But they did, and had some video evidence. It’s definitely interesting.
  15. Just stopped by to see what the odds were on the Democrats caving on ICE in either a “very embarrassing way” or “incredibly embarrassing way. “. I’ve got it at 50/50 right now.
  16. Just finished the Netflix Encounters show episode 1 about the Stephenville incident. I vaguely remember it from when I lived in Dallas. Stopped paying attention when the military came out and admitted F-16s were in the area. What was interesting from the show was the radar tracking data. This site, explores the incident in more detail as skeptics. https://www.metabunk.org/threads/stephenville-texas-ufo-2008.13446/ They correctly point out some inconsistencies in stories and sightings. To @Viper 's point, some of those sightings could have absolutely been countermeasure flares and illumination flares? Why do I know this? Because I used to be a design engineer in charge of designing countermeasure flares for military craft, including the F-16. I am also intrigued by the dash cam data from the constable. Overall, it seems like there are some credible witnesses who really saw something, mixed in with a lot of people wanting to have seen something, or seen something different. Given the locations of secret military aircraft bases in Texas somewhat near Stephenville, it seems to me that a lot of this could be explained by test flights of new aircraft, drones, etc. Any other thoughts on the legitimacy of this sighting?
  17. I have a dumb question. I bought a bone in pork shoulder to smoke on the recteq 590. Can that be shredded like a pork butt? The recipe doesn’t mention shredding. Also, if anyone has any good ideas for how to cook it, I’d appreciate it. I was just going to dry rub it, cook for 4-6 hours, while spritzing with apple juice every hour or so. I don’t smoke much.
