A reminder that Shiffrin got a lot of shit from Trumpers for these comments above. Well, she won Gold today. And sang every word of the National Anthem on the podium. Fuck you, MAGA.
Agreed, but "for now" works both ways. For now, OpenAI has almost a trillion dollar valuation. (while they lose billions every year) For now, you can use AI chatbots to replace human workers. (long term effects/results are TBD) For now, "AI" is considered a limitless technology. (based on technological promises that have not been delivered yet) And hard to ignore the major red flag that AI is being sold to the public through fear and intimidation. "Tough shit, deal with the destruction" is not a great selling point. Survival instincts will eventually kick in with the masses IMO.
I appreciate the honesty. First, the Wired article about the AI bar in Manhattan is just a PR piece. A NY Post reporter visited the place, said "a couple" of people there were legitimately talking to AI companions, and the rest in attendance were media. At the end of this video, she basically thinks it's a shitty business plan as people with AI companions won't want to publicly socialize like that. And she's right. Hard to take you seriously when you fall for pieces like that. Who gives a shit about dancing robots. It's a party trick. Lastly, what do you mean there won't be "meaningful pushback" in your last scenario? Massive job loss turns the economy into dust and society is fucked. People will absolutely lose their shit in that scenario.
It's amazing that things are so bad in this country that we don't even have time to acknowledge that Lindsey Graham is completely compromised and an Israeli asset.
I know these are just words, but I think it captures the essence of Candace Owens. She's completely incurious about getting things right. Just confidently say stupid shit, truth be damned.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but the overwhelmingly positive response to Angine de Poitrine feels like a communal tonic with all this AI slop that surrounds us. True artistry, creativity, and skill. A new discovery and pleasant reminder of the brilliance of humans.
Ha! I literally watched this a couple of hours ago. Very few cell phones, people just enjoying the music and each other. This band will definitely have their moment. Their new album drops in April, and hopefully they tour the U.S.
Derka, my friend, do yourself a favor and block or mute the Krassenstein brothers. There are many other better options out there to follow. These dudes are like the OG #Resistance Twitter engagement farmers.
