  1. Yeah, once Tillman bought Keen's I have avoided it. Eater had this map in late December. Eater NYThe Best Steakhouses in New York CityDig into glorious rib-eyes, porterhouses, filets, tri-tip, and more meats throughout NYCCN Traveler had this one. https://www.cntraveler.com/gallery/best-steakhouse-in-nyc The Infatuation had this one. The InfatuationThe 18 Best Steakhouses In NYC - New York - The InfatuationFrom classics like Keens and Old Homestead to newer spots like Cote and Hawksmoor, these are New York City's best steakhouses.4 Charles is the one that is on my list and impossible to get into. Monkey Bar is their "sister" and is easier to get into. Gallaghers, Gage & Tollner, and Delmonicos are all places I want to hit up. I can confirm that Hawksmoor (a British Import) and St. Anselm are absolutely legit. A new one that just opened is the Golden Steer. It is a Vegas import, but looks pretty cool. Also, you can get some amazing steaks at non steakhouses. I have had an amazing Cote de Boeuf at Frenchette on multiple occasions. The steak at Chateau Royale is also very, very good (as is the duck).
  2. Of course. You are not a serious person,
  3. Of course Elon can’t get adult women.
  4. For shopping, my go tos are the Goyard on E 63rd (they are moving to Madison at some point between 63rd and 62nd) and McQueen on Madison at 58th. The Saint Laurent store in Meatpacking is stunning and is really well curated (the store director is a friend of mine). Bottega Veneta on Madison in the UES and Tom Ford just a block or two lower are also great. Printemps NYC (1 Wall Street) is my favorite department store. It is French, and they really leaned into the historic building. The Red Room is absolutely stunning and something to be seen. Their Beauty and Perfume sections are absolutely some of the best in the city. They also have a number of good bars and restaurants there. For brand boutiques that are unique to NYC, look into Kallmeyer, TWP, Saint Art, and Miista. If Vintage is your thing, I love Designer Revival on E 81st. They have a great selection, and pricing is generally pretty good. I will go back through my list and send more things later, but that is just top of my head right now. Oh yeah, the Sezane store on Elizabeth is the only US outpost of the viral French brand. I love their sweaters. Bong is Cambodian in Brooklyn and was one of my favorite meals in NYC in 2025. Le Veau d'Or on E 60th and Lex is my favorite restaurant in the city. It is old school, elevated French, and they are amazing. 4 Charles is impossible to get into, but the same folks are behind Monkey Bar. It has also gotten hard to get into, but I can attest it is definitely quite good. The Burger at Raoul's at brunch is absolutely outstanding, and the other burgers I recommend in the city are the OG PJ Clark's on 3rd Ave and JG Melon uptown also on 3rd Avenue (at 74th). If Sushi is your thing, the Omakase at Sushi Saikou is a great deal at $120 a person. They are doing the quality that places charging three times that are doing. The NY Times crowned a new 4 star restaurant (that is harder to get than Michelin stars) last year. I was able to make it there on December 27. Yamada is amazing. But for me alone it was $650 all in, so not sure if you want to take 6 people there. Maybe you and your wife can hit that, and the kids can have pizza in the hotel. As for pizza, I went to Lombardi's one weekend recently. It was really good. It is the oldest pie shop in NYC. Other places I went to in the last few years that I enjoyed are Ha's Snack Bar, Libertine, Maison Passerelle (Printemps restaurant), Bangkok Supper Club, Claud, I Cavallini, Chateau Royale, Penny, Smithereens, and Roscioli. My go to's are Le Veau d'Or (already mentioned), Frenchette, King, Gramercy Tavern, Crown Shy, One White Street, and Le Rock, which I recommend as well. Infatuation has become my go to on research for restaurants in the city. As for things to do, I would look and see if there are any museum exhibits that tickle your fancy. Always good to go see a new exhibit. Right now, the Frick just opened a fashion in portraiture exhibit, so that is something I am going to make my way to. The JP Morgan Library and the NYPL most likely have good exhibitions. Some of my to go to museums are the Museum of the American Indian (in the Alexander Hamilton customs house down in FIDI) , the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum (part of the Smithsonian in Carnegie's former house), the Met (of course), and the Whitney. Brooklyn Museum usually has some good stuff going on as well. Then, there are a plethora of art galleries that are always fun to stroll and browse. I have a book called Walking New York by Keith Taillon that I highly recommend for walks where you can see historic sights. I love the Financial District and Seaport walk. If you guys tell me specific dates, I can give more. Also, a LOT of new stuff is coming to Broadway starting in March, so some of that might be worth a visit as well. Titanique, which was a massive hit off Broadway, is going to Broadway. There is a revival of the Rocky Horror Show starting Luke Evens as Frank-n-further, and Cats: The Jellicle Ball comes to Broadway (I saw it at PAC and we LOVED it...so much fun). There are more, and Playbill is a great source. We are already planning our Spring show list.
  5. The only people that like Elon Musk are his fellow incels.
  6. Beautiful. Well done. I have no beautiful story, but I went to my friend's house in northern Hell's Kitchen to watch the Super Bowl. There were the following people there: My friend (Aussie green card holder) Her boyfriend (from Puerto Rico) A gay couple who have lived here for 15+ years (both from Australia) Our bisexual, female friend (Irish) Another female friend (Czechia) Another female friend (Australian) A straight couple with their 3 year old son (he is British, she is Chinese) Me, whose family has comprised mainly of people who came to the US back in 1689, 1705, and 1710 respectively (also, about 1/32 or 1/64 American Indian..I would have to go back and look at the genealogy on my mom's paternal side). Needless to say, I have the most boring background of the group. But we are all really good friends. We were all hoping that Trump would stroke out during the Bad Bunny concert. But THAT has long been my experience in NYC, and even Houston when I lived there. And THAT is what makes America a great place. I agree with your sentiment. Fuck Trump, Miller, Vance, Musk, Thiel, and Bezos.
  7. I did dry half January (once I was back in NYC and it wasn't my birthday) and am doing dry February as well. FML.
  8. Oh, there are racists in the NYC metro. Thankfully, most of them live in Staten Island, Long Island, or New Jersey. What I have observed are that the most racist people up here are the descendants of people who immigrated to the US from about 1850-1920...so, basically people that call themselves Irish Americans or Italian Americans. People whose parents, grand parents, great granparents, etc. experienced horrific racism are now dishing it out. It is disgusting.
  9. Most the Europeans understand that a significant number of us didn't vote for this and absolutely oppose this regime. If you let Trump and his ilk impact you even more, they win. Fuck him and every person that voted for him...including my own parents.
  10. Man, I have been boring. My travel this year so far has been all work. I did get to go to the French Alps to see friends at the beginning of the year. I also was in London on my birthday (and got to go to the V&A Marie Antoinette exhibit which I highly recommend), but have been in NYC for all the fucking cold since. Most likely, have the following coming up: March - Bordeaux (work), Paris (weekend between), Geneva (work) April - Chile (work) May - Montreal (F1 - we are going to the Canadian Grand Prix) June/July - Bachelorette trip for my friend...most likely Croatia September/early October - Friend's wedding in Venice, then Morocco (Marrakesh and Tangier) end of October - Mexico City (F1 - planning on Mexico Grand Prix) 2027 is already starting to be planned. My friend who lives in London and is going with me to Morocco after our friend's wedding in Venice is an avid traveler. When she still lived in NYC, we talked about going to Peru and doing Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley. I would love to do that in late March/early April, so I need to see if she is still game for that. Then October 2027 is Japan. Trying to go for at least 3 weeks for that one. January 2028, I turn 50. I plan on being somewhere for that. Just not sure where. Since I will celebrate all year, the plan for the rest of the year includes Thailand (they are doing an F1 street race in Bangkok that year). But have not thought abut more than that.
  11. NYC will be completely out of cocaine.
  12. This infuriates me.
