In context with a functional RT we possibly win a national championship, with a better rb room after brooks gets hurt we possibly win a national championship so yeah I’d say losing to Florida and not making the playoff when they selected 12 teams is silly when you have Texas’s resources at your disposal. I’m a Debbie downer tho so take that for what it’s worth lol.
Who should people blame for the ups and downs of the Texas football team? I’m sure there’s a guy who gets paid really well and has the final say in almost every aspect of the day to day operations of the team. The depth chart has an absolute stud at qb with a fast ticking time clock and so far he’s been wasted. You may think it’s fine but some people don’t. I for one like the banter, it’s humorous and keeps the site humming along.
I know we need a LB, CB, couple wr’s, couple rb’s, two starting OL and a new GM but I know championship football and you can’t win a title without a great long snapper.
I hope this annoyed version of Sark stays so we see him shit on some refs next year when they are bending us over a barrel instead of that squatting down confused look.
that was a good read, thank you. The part that concerns me is Texas having to trust the coaches evaluations. The amount of additions we need from the portal along with the belief in banks and flood are pretty big concerns I think. Muschamp should be able to cover the defensive side pretty well, he knows what he needs to make his scheme work.
That was PK’s fault, he’s gone bro, move on. Muschamp will fix all those problems. You remember? He made Mack play freshman and get people playing time so in the event of an injury Texas was prepared . He forced Mack to fix the OL and found Colt a good rb. I member.
I’m quoting this because you are a guy who actually knows some money details. I was just giving my opinion but you brings some facts which helps people on here. The resources Texas has in the NIL era means any numb nuts should go 10-2 a lot, like almost every year as the floor. We have wanted to pay players my whole life haha. We can pay them now and somehow we started the year with a putrid OL and no rb’s. Unbelievable
In the example of texas tech that guy Cody Campbell foots the bill, Oregon it’s Nike. Being allowed to spend up to $22 million doesn’t mean every school has $22 million to spend also. Arch for instance doesn’t take any Texas money, allegedly, which frees up money for the rest of the roster. Nobody else has a player that polarizing and that humble, nobody. We should have gotten a rb and a stud LB or OL with arch’s share of NIL.
Somebody posted the ways around it on here somewhere. One of them is the collective pay for half of the deal which means only $500k of wingo’s deal hits Texas. It equals a million but you only take $500k hit on the part that has a cap. You need to have more money than everybody else to make that work, which Texas does.
Are you high or is this a bit? Not every school has the same amount of money to spend. You can’t call people dumbasses then say stuff like that, I mean you can but that irony can be cut with a knife. Texas has way more money to spend than everybody else not named Ohio state or Texas tech apparently.
Ryan day has never lost 3 games in a season as a head coach. Not once. Competing for titles is the requirement when you spend $20 million. Sark probably won’t win one but he should be there to have the chance almost every year. Barring some injuries and horrible luck he should do what Ryan day has done, 5/7 years and that’s with Michigan cheating their balls off.
This is where the NIL world gets silly, in my opinion. If Texas is willing to pay wingo sum A and he wants to be at Texas then he should sign. The issue is his agent floats that sum around and some random school that has saved up money for a wr throws out sum B then it’s in Texas’s corner to match or pass. It’s nonsense but ultimately will probably workout for Texas more often than other schools who are less rich. I may not be understanding it correctly though tbh.
Wisner was the 12th best sec rb this year, imagine if Texas had gotten a good rb instead of relying on him and Baxter. I’m betting a really good rb rushes for 150 yards on his own in that Ohio state game which changes the whole game entirely. Sark is a numb nuts for the failure in the rb and OL rooms.
