For those like myself with busted pipes, those SharkBite couplings were a god send because they work on copper, pvc, and pex. Apparently I've been under a rock because I was unfamiliar with them until today. Very easy to work with and able to patch a couple leaks to get water back on-line.
One of the ball valves froze on our tankless unit. Can turn off the heater (unplug, turn off gas line) and cycle water through it after thawing the lines out with a hair dryer or something. The inside of those units have electric heaters that keep it the elements warm enough when not in use, but it's just the intake lines that need to be kept thawed if possible. But yeah had a crash course last night and this morning in proper tankless maintenance in crazy cold weather.
Been around since hornfans, posted from time to time since, and immamac definitely runs a different ship that is trending towards more restrictive, but whatevs. Blacklab for life. Don't agree with everything Beeper says but this is all regular disagreement and makes for fun banter (and actually tend to agree with him in this case). Why ruin a good thing, imma? Let it be, dude. And what's with all the GD stickeys? Let Sam play it out. He's proven folks wrong before. Is his arm different now? Yeah. Could it be better in the near future? Maybe. Should he be switched to TE? Prob not. Coin flip.
Ok...so why listen to Coltrane when you can listen to...idk...JayZ? Both are giants in their periods and have their due. But provoking OP question and... bourbon?
I echo many of the others on this thread after a few bourbons... But when Picard says, "she, or someone like us will always be waiting for the right time to flourish. Spreading fear in the name of righteousness" at the end of S4 E21. That is so precient right now especially given that TNG focuses on how the good of humanity has the ability to transcend our almost primal urges. It's solid TV that I enjoy pondering about after a long day. And I think it competes with the many great contemporary shows out right now, but maybe that's my optimistic/naive side showing.
LHB alumni here. Playing June 27 during the VY era was the most recent height of LHB. That and actual entertaining half-time shows. Amorphous sets on the field are...meh. Cacking down on the trombones playing BoneTell in all four corners of the stadium for alumni day is sad, too. We need to loosen up and fun needs to resurrect.
Our house just needs a general upgrade with a bunch of different work and are looking for a GC. We've found a couple that seem ok, but want to interview a third to round it out. Any Houston GC recs (Heights)? BTW, had Phil's paint/carpenter guy do some work again and was top notch. The guy is talented. Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk
One other example... they called Apache out in their Alpine High BS well before the stock tanked. APA initial slides indicated break-evens at least that $1, which was a complete fabrication. CEO even said that the play would "hum" with gas at $2. They touted wells as being 'oil' wells with yields less than 150 bbls/mmcf. Most shale is terrible and they've been calling it. Timing is risky, but the fundamentals aren't hard. It's been a complete Ponzi scheme. Now APA has laid down all rigs in Alpine High. Billions spent on infrastructure and it's all wasted.
That's an interesting point. Usually scooters have 49cc engines, which don't require the rider to have a motorcycle license. So then what is the cutoff for e-scooters? Is there an e-scooter equivalent of a 49cc combustion engine based on energy equivalency? Edit: simple... they put a governor on it.
