Texas Recruiting Notes 2022 - Idiotic Slapfights Unrelated To 2022 Recruiting
Tennessee and Ole Miss also wanted it more. I have no issue with aggy playing this game but they’re definitely operating in a manner that’s going to bring attention their way. Better stay in your lane.

Isn’t Fleck also very good at the service line?

Texas Recruiting Notes 2022 - Idiotic Slapfights Unrelated To 2022 Recruiting
I don't get the narrative that Texas is taking too many HS OL and DL recruits. It's fairly obvious this staff believes the roster is complete trash (OL and DL) so they're adding quality and numbers. I bet they add a couple transfers too. I think it's a real positive this staff is showing initiative to fix the trenches.

It's difficult to evaluate the setter but unless Jhenna is substantially better she shouldn't be starting because our block is so much better with SKT. Our ceiling is much higher with SKT.

Fleck to Texas is pretty damn significant. There's the huge upgrade we needed from a defensive perspective. Time to make a switch at setter now and we're really cooking.

I know we just added a huge DL class but this seems like a definite take for next season. Especially with the PK connection.

Colbert's recruiting is probably a bit overrated but he's a damn good WR coach. He's helped develop some legit WRs. He's about to get another WR in the NFL too in London.

NCAA Hoops 2021-22
Alabama is how I view most of the top 25. These teams are bipolar as hell and I can't figure out who is good. Look at these results- Close win vs South Alabama Close win vs Drake Win against a good Houston team. Win against a top 5 Gonzaga team Loss against Iona Loss against a bad Memphis team

I think Cristobal is overrated as hell but he's a legit OL coach. Oregon once again had one of the best OL in the country. The fact Cristobal wanted Cam Williams is a pretty good indication the guy is legit.

Sounds like Bama might be about to land Ricks (already happened), Gibbs, and Boutte (hasn't entered portal yet). Jesus. This is why 247 needed that new overall team rankings that calculates the transfer portal and recruiting class together. That would be an absolutely insane haul in terms of transfers. The game is also changing now. Looks like Saban is going to grab 3 to 5 top transfers moving forward even with these stacked recruiting classes.

Napier is putting together a very good staff. He's going to win at Florida.

Outside of this class and maybe one more I don’t think this is going to be a big worry once NIL is full go. aggy will still buy recruits but NIL levels the playing field. We’ve already seen it with the NIL deal for offensive lineman this cycle. I’m in agreement with other posters that have said the window is closing so that’s why aggy is really going all out this cycle.

I mean the dad is already doing that. The report that Nolen wasn’t going to sign was almost certainly leaked by the dad to get aggy to come back with a bigger bag. 30 minutes after that rumor of Nolen waiting until NSD2 to sign Nolen’s dad was on Twitter back on the aggy gravy train. He secured a bigger bag.

If there’s a recruit that gets aggy in trouble it will be Nolen. The Bama mods had a long rant about the dad a few months ago. I need to go find it because they were pretty much telling the posters there that this is a recruit you want to stay way from.

I didn’t know dollar amount but this is well known. I’ve posted it in the aggy thread multiple times. Nolen’s dad was straight up looking for the highest bidder. The Bama mods have said several times that Saban didn’t want to deal with the dad because he’s such a loudmouth and a potential NCAA violation waiting to happen,

Another name I like is Marquel Blackwell at UH. He's done well with a lot of RBs and he's on Saban's radar. He interviewed for their RB job last cycle.

That new overall football team rankings from 247 was needed. The changing landscape of the transfer portal has kind of changed how recruiting classes should be evaluated.

There’s no maybe about recruiting if Sark makes a good hire. Drayton has done a great job of recruiting RB but the RB coach is supposed to be a volume recruiter/rainmaker. Which he is not. I gave Drayton a B- grade on the initial hire because Texas can find a much better volume recruiter.

People will overreact to Drayton leaving but Texas can probably upgrade.
