It is likely deeper than just simple alignment tells. A good D-coordinator through enough study tries to manipulate the play-call to their advantage by knowing the audible tendencies of an opponent. They show a defensive look, Quinn receives the play-call and adjusts right into what the defense wants him to do because we’ve hurt teams with the same adjustment in previous games. That was likely happening quite a bit last Saturday.
Hopefully this loss will serve the big picture for this group. Now they know where the bar is. They hadn’t played a team with these kinds of athletes yet this year. Cam and Banks need to put in some work to get us where we want to go. They got abused tonight.
Not incorporating zone read concepts with Arch moving forward would be a travesty. The guy can scoot and you have to keep the edge defenders and LBs honest.
Smart and the UGA defensive staff way ahead of Sark. UGA much more physical at the LOS. Ewers not seeing open receiverrs, looks lost.
Missing Baxter tonight more than any other game.
This game feels like some of those nights in Lubbock against Leach. Being up two TDs just never felt safe until 0:00 was on the clock. We better keep scoring . . . AND STOP WALKING GUYS.
That’s the kind of year it’s been. A strike out, a booted easy double play and a bobbled fly ball, freaking throwing error. All the while Grubbs has pitched well. Poor dude.
