Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - I'm With Stupid
Players enter the portal: "These players have no loyalty and just want money - fuck these guys!" Players stay with their original teams: "These players and their bullshit loyalty that can't be money-whipped - fuck these guys!"

Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - I'm With Stupid
I don't know - I don't have a solution. The only thing that I could think would be a transfer deterrent would be something like one free transfer, but then you have to sit out a year like it used to be. I'm sure there are legalities that would prevent this - but maybe NIL paid over certain amount of years, or pending/pro-rated based upon 'contract' fulfillment. The problem is that it's independent donors, so I don't know how you regulate them. The best solution is probably just to let Texas do what they want, and regulate everyone else - but i'm just spitballing here.

I think the NIL is damaging the sport, but I also think UT would be foolish not to play the game while it’s still the Wild West. I’d love for it to be reined in, but until then…

You've definitely got that part worked out. Maybe now focus on responding to what was actually said. Once you can marry those two ideas, I'd say you've made it.

That's...that's a pretty aggressive response to something I didn't even imply. I said he transitioned from a creative role at UT to a creative role + "Assistant Athletic Director" role at TCU (whatever that role entails). If he's coming back to Texas, it makes sense that it's in the AAD or Player Personnel wheelhouse (not even top the top role...just in that department), as opposed to straight creative. It's probably a promotion of some sort, but I didn't make a leap to GM (or AD or DPP or anything actually).

I do that daily.

He took a position at TCU that had Assistant Athletics Director as part of his title (while also managing creative). I don't know what AAD role is, but I wonder if it's a transition into that world and not just creative. Regardless, if it's just creative, he's one of the best.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2023: Strippers, Monkeys, and 5-Stars
What's the point in committing when they do for these guys? I don't understand the benefit of committing early, and then continuing to OV. Is there something I'm missing? Early commits is a cool idea, but I pretty much take them all with a grain of salt until signing day.
