Robert Strait - Mack truck
Harvey Williams - smooth as warm butter
Percy Waddle - hands as big as a first baseman’s glove
Had the privilege of trying to tackle Tony Brackens on a tight end seam pass in a playoff game.
1984 was the first cassette tape I bought with my own money. My dad made me throw it away because of the smoking angel, but I fished it out later, sliced a hole in my mattress and there the cover stayed for 10 years. Still have it. My first defiance of authority was due to VH.
I live in Columbus. I-10 traffic on a normal day due to construction is ridiculous. Came out of Houston on 90-A through East Bernard and Eagle Lake this afternoon and there is already a decent amount of traffic on it. Long backups at any stop signs.
I live 45 mins west of Katy. We have a HEB pantry, a Walmart and a Brookshire Bros. in a town of 3500. Everything is cleaned out, not because of locals, but because of Houston heading west looking for supplies. We chose a lifestyle of “social distancing” but that falls apart in a panic hoarding. Most of the small towns along I-10 and about 20 miles north and south of it are experiencing the same thing, people coming through and buying everything out. I saw a number of posters bitching about and making fun of small towns in the “Could you live in a small town” thread. Amazing how that mentality changes when the big city begins to break down.
