Game week thread, Week 6, Red River Shootout
I don't think it made a difference. OU stuffed our running game for years with Benson and without. And Ivan Williams pre-blown ACL and weight gain, which he was in 2001, was a very effective running back. He had just run for 150+ yards and two touchdowns at almost 6 per carry the week before against Tech, whereas Ced had 21 yards rushing at 3.5 per carry against Tech. Williams averaged 5.1 per carry that season. Ced was at 4.7. No I am not saying Ivan Williams was better than Benson. But I am not sure there was that much difference that would have changed the result. Ivan averaged 2.5 per carry against OU in 2001. Cedric averaged 2.5 per carry in 2002 against OU. And 1.8 in 2003.

Hunting 24/25: big bucks and a lot of ducks!
Quality feeders are money well spent. 15 years ago I had a random connection with a sheet metal worker in beaumont. He would build these two thousand pound feeders out of sheet metal that were bullet proof with an All Seasons control unit and The Timer. The feeder was wide enough and had 4 legs that the coons could never reach the plate. Did not even need a cage. Heavy duty pipe legs that had feet you could drill a hole through. I would put a half inch diameter rod and the thing was steady as a rock. Cows nor hogs could even come close to knocking it over. All in was like $900. Was a steal. He stopped making them. I can deal with cheap blinds. But I will never, ever buy a cheap feeder. Way more trouble than they are worth.

Wyoming forfeits Volleyball matchup with San Jose State
16 kills in a game seems more than mid/rotational to me. https://x.com/SanJoseStateVB/status/1838784213526679808

How do you get the elk out with all that gear? Multiple trips? I love my suppressors. But if I was needing to shed weight, I would ditch it. And just take the shot with some foam ear plugs.

The Gun Owner’s thread
I need a scope for my Ruger SAFR 3.08 AR. I want something I can shoot out to a few hundred yards but also transition quickly for short shots. A scope. Not a ACOG for this one. Any reccos?

Hunting 24/25: big bucks and a lot of ducks!
There was a constant stream of C-130s flying over us. Was pretty cool. My friend is a retired Air Force officer vet who used to be a WSO on the B-1. He identified the planes.

Been in West Texas working for a month. Had some fantastic dove hunts -- limits every hunt. This was last Saturday morning out near Dyess Air Force Base. I am on the left holding the birds. Hunted with one of my Abilene friends. Game warden checked us for licenses and plugs. She was one of the Lone Star law wardens. Very nice lady. Amelia Springer is her name.

Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
Yep. I have two very wealthy uncles. I’m close to both of them — travel and family time very routinely. But all their money is going to their kids. As it should.

Wisner is a football player. And last year was a special teams badass. I don’t want him going anywhere.- Texas A&M Recruiting 2025: The Land of Melk & No Money
D'Onofrio gained 70 pounds for that role and weighed 280 pounds at the beginning of filming. Elko has at least 50 pounds on Private Pyle.- Tell Me About Texas a&m

Exactly. I doubt any of these restrictions will survive a judicial challenge.- Week 5 2024, Mississippi State @ Texas
It's football. If he is cleared, he should play the first half. Arch will still get plenty of snaps.- Tell me about ou
Hawkins best work was in garbage time- Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
Lapham was/is awesome. He said some weird stuff ("football geometry"). But you could tell he loved football and had a good time calling the games without taking himself to seriously.- Week 4, 2024; ULM at Texas
I don't think we cover without special teams/defensive scores or short fields. ULM is going to hand the ball off and bleed clock.- Tell me about ou
They are going to get run off the field by Tennessee.- Negative Recruiting Your Own School: The aggy Screenshot Megathread
Milroe's QB rating was about the same basically every month of the season last year. The party line that he improved greatly as the year went on was bullshit. He played well against us and his houdini ability to make plays when their OL was getting whipped was the only reason they scored two of their touchdowns.- Negative Recruiting Your Own School: The aggy Screenshot Megathread
The difference in our schedule is we play them and they play us. - Texas Recruiting Notes 2025: Duck Around and Find Out
