It was a nothing-burger. If I touch the actual injection site, it’s still slightly sore, but as far as I can tell, I did not have a single side effect. I certainly had no fever or fatigue or need to sleep more. I was kind of hoping to have a bit of an immune response to show that my system recognizes the chickenpox. We will see I guess.
When those assholes started mouthing off at the end of the game, our pointing up to the scoreboard was the best response. I loved that as much as celebrating on their logo after they started the poor sportsmanship fest.
Well, it really sounds like you’re sorta screwed then. That dynamic of the “more Christian” who so self-identify lining up with the more support for Trump and the current GOP is definitely going to decrease the number of people who will want to be included in that club. 10 to 20 years from now it’s gonna be even more of a blue hair convention at church than it is now. But I totally agree with your statement. The Golden Rule governing Christian church thought on how to live your life, with believers willing to face death rather than renounce their beliefs, well, that faith and good works produced new converts attracted to that core principle of seeking justice and support for the poor and down trodden. Love thy neighbor was such a powerful message when you consider how the world’s society operated in those times. The new dynamic of “who would Jesus dislike the most?” is certainly drawing in a certain type of crowd, but I don’t think that is going to be good for the future of the Kirk.
Just imagine if Ukraine had to face Russian forces that were less capable. Now there might be Russian military leadership that is less capable that Ukraine has to fight. Which is sort of like customers experiencing the difference between the most attractive and the least attractive hooker in a Kathy Bates look-alike brothel.
Do you mind sharing what symptoms were a part of the ass kicking? Fever, fatigue? Edit: nm. I just got the poke. I have to wait 10 minutes sitting in a chair so they can figure out whether the vaccine has killed me. I guess. Pharmacist said the second is worse. Usually.
Getting the second shingles shot after work. My arm was sore from the injection for a couple days last time, but I had no side effects from the actual vaccine that I can recall. Like today, I got the first one on a Friday to allow myself two days of suck. Surly peeps who have taken the second shingles shot - how did it compare with the first one? Did the first one create a heightened immune response that made the second shot more of a pain in the ass? Inquiring minds and all…
