  11. I've had this thought... and this is where I'm at right now. (And I not just talking about Latinos) Perhaps the story of America is that people who were NOT successful in their home countries or were so extreme that they needed a fresh start immigrated. They brought their collective disfunction here. (both in the past and present) My family tree is almost entirely populated by religious zealots, Jacobites kicked out of Scotland by the victorious English, or later in the Highland clearances. So let's just be honest, these weren't the best and brightest. They were desperate losers. People don't uproot their lives and make risky journeys because they have it so good at home and things are great. So maybe the folks we have here are not of the same caliber and that's why we can't have nice things. tl/dr Maybe we are the Dunning-Kruger of nations Ledge shots anyone?
  12. ROBOT T-0 When a desperate mom and her daughter encounter an outdated robot, T-0, their reluctant alliance becomes their only hope in a world dominated by household robots. In the near future, robots are in every household, at the service of humans, replacing them in their daily chores. 40 years old Max, unemployed, and her daughter Paula struggle to earn their living. Great movie, but subtitled. See it if you get a chance. I expect it'll end up on Netflix or some other streaming service.
  13. RIP Friend of my father, funeral was this past Saturday. (Not Robert Johnson) I mean who doesn't want to learn secret devil tuning!
  14. Laughs in Michael Anthony
  15. next time don't wear a belt, noob!
  16. Need a safety related opinion. I'm thinking about going to see a show at Brooklyn Steel (In Williamsburg) Is this the sort of place to be ubering to and from or is it ok to walk ? In a city I don't know I prefer to walk a bit but I don't want to blithely walk into a place I shouldn't. When I say walk, I mean from the nearest bus/train stop or to a bar(s) afterwards.

  18. Taking a last minute trip with the wife. Anybody recommend a hotel? I'm not so interested in the hotel amenities as we will not be there except drop bags off and to sleep. So safe, clean, good location are key. We're visiting friends, the Met, and enjoying weather <90*f
