Wake Forest apparently had a 3 game series with App State that they are likely gonna weasel out of too. App State in that G5 no mans land where they can’t get any competitive games with lesser big time conference schools
Think their chief problem isn’t that El Paso is inherently a bad city/market, it’s that you are playing FBS football in the state of Texas but compared to all of the other FBS schools in the state and the recruiting grounds where they get players and the cities were their alumni live, El Paso may as well be on the surface of the moon.
Mayor Baldy keeps pounding the table with “the city is broke” and yet is risking throwing away millions of federal infrastructure dollars because the projects were planned in his eyes by “anti car activists” just because they include a bike lane and some nice sidewalks…highly infuriating.
And don’t get me started on the fact that his new appointees to the METRO board have hit the brakes on all of the Bus Rapid Transit lines that have been in the works for years, likely for the same reason. Only projects that are moving forward are using METRO money to repave streets for both cars and buses to use. If it doesn’t help single occupant car infrastructure, Mayor Baldy’s administration doesn’t seem to want it done…
Since it happened in College Station can’t help but think this is an Aggy trying to turn their car into a Titan class submersible…wonder if the knockoff Xbox controller they were driving with is what did them in…
I mean what is a beach towel other than a really flat tent?
Was about to make a joke about this, but you beat me to tent talk...
REI stock to the moon right now tho
A cursory glance at what's going on over there and I think this gif sums up what they think should happen to the protesters:
tho without the ambulance and the guy getting back up...
Meanwhile in San Marvelous:
Crowd looks to be pretty thin likely because of finals, can't begin to remember how many times I walked by the stallions between classes in a huge crowd of students and there was some kind of group popping off protesting or whatever, got called a sinner and told I was going to hell by some anti-abortion activists with megaphones frequently. Everyone goes about their business and eventually the protesters run out of steam and go home. No goon squad, no police brutality, no Gestapo Greg rolling the riot cops on horses in... who'd have thunk you could just let people get out their free speech piece in a designated space and things will all work out.
I bet they are gone way before 7pm too, crowds gonna thin out even more soon as happy hour specials start kicking in on the square....
