Yeah, I should have also mentioned Lotus as another one that we've hit (multiple times) previously. First time I went there was years ago when there was just one location and it was in this rundown stripmall. The wife was apprehensive. But the food was great and we've gone back several times after the move and expansion. I'll check out the other places. Thank you.
Gimme your Vegas off-strip restaurant recs. "Hole in the wall" and/or "old school" places would be especially great. Something on the Henderson side would work especially well, but we'll go wherever if necessary. We did Piero's and Black Sheep the last time we were in LV (both of which were great), so we'll probably look to go somewhere different this time around. TIA
First names I thought of when I initially saw this thread were Holly, Valens, and Hendrix, all of whom have been mentioned multiple times. I only scanned the older posts, so I may have overlooked something, but one name I don't recall seeing was Eddie Cochran. He was only 21 when he died & was starting to become quite popular. He was a big influence on several of the British Invasion bands, and it would have been interesting to see what he would have done in that decade.
I assume Crater Lake NP will be on that itinerary. That park is either at or close to the top of my list of national parks that I haven't yet seen. You should also hit Redwoods NP in the northwest corner of California.
