Big Bend - Alpine - Marfa - Fort Davis
I wad there 2 weeks ago. We stayed at Pat O's place in Terlingua Ghost town.. Tuesday: We drove in from DFW, literally taking the scenic route through Presidio and back over to Terlingua. We ate in Terlingua at that Bar-grill with the colorful lights, forgot the name. It was ok.. Wedensday: woke up early and went to Chisos Mtn lodge, hiked Emory Peak via Pinnacles. It was amazing. I did not do the last 25 feet up top.. it was windy and I found that to be a bit unsettling. We dined that night at Starlight theater. The filet was great, and the chili was solid.. Thusday: Back to Chisos mountain lodge, and we hiked Lost Mine Trail. This was probably my favorite trail of the week. I couldn't believe we were still in Texas seeing some of those views. We left and drove the Ross Maxwell scenic drive and back up Old Maverick road.. my check engine light had been on but after the washboard roads on Old Maverick I guess it vibrated off.. so that was nice.. We ended up doing a raft tour on the State Park side that was pretty cool. That night we ate at Long Draw Pizza.. it was great. Friday: Chisos again and The Window Trail early in the AM. Boquillas in the PM. I insisted on getting Burros and not horses and that was a fantastic decision. Mexico was a great experience, but I personally wouldn't be interested in going back on a return trip.. The food was solid though, we bought lunch for Lupe who was our guide. 4 dollar beers and 9 dollar Margaritas didn't really scream Mexico to me, but I guess they can charge whatever they want. That night we went back to Starlight.. the band was awesome, the singer sounded pretty damn close to Loretta Lynn.. Saturday: Breakfast Tacos at that place by starlight.. they were amazing. Then to Lajitas for golf. Absolutely the best golf course I've ever played. Wife got a massage right as I teed off and met me at 9 with 2 coolers of beer. That night we ended back up at Long Draw Pizza.. good once again. Great trip. If you love Texas it will make you love it even more. What a fantastic place.

Ok.. so new hats for ALT 2..- 2023 Official Astros World Champs Offseason Thread
Yep. Resign JV and roll with the farm to fill the gaps.- 2023 Official Astros World Champs Offseason Thread
If he's not tendered, the 2023 Astros thread will be about half the size by the end of the season because of the lack of bitching when he starts.- 2023 Official Astros World Champs Offseason Thread
"Jerry Jones" is the new theme song for the media now in reference to the Astros, fueled by the hope that we will fall into decades long mediocrity because of shitty moves by the owner. Could easily be Robert Kraft but no that won't get the clicks. Keep letting the hate flow it seems to be working- All Quiet on the Western Front (Daniel Brühl, German-language, Oct 28 in Theaters and on Netflix)
My thoughts. The scene with the German soldier begging for his life while French Rifleman ran by him... only to have what happened. Fuck- 2023 Official Astros World Champs Offseason Thread
This from the buzzer BS? Honest question. Outside of that and being a Yankee I think he's a pretty good dude. Garden can suck it. So can Donaldson. *Gardner- 2023 Official Astros World Champs Offseason Thread
Or 100 no hitters- 2023 Official Astros World Champs Offseason Thread
Based solely what I spent at the team store at the WS and since then, Crane's budget should go way the F up.- 2023 Official Astros World Champs Offseason Thread
Well if he's narrowed it down to Astros and Rangers, it's definitely money he's after.- 2022 Houston Astros Thread
What a magical season this was.. It won't be forgotten as I'll be telling stories for decades to come about no hitters, immaculate innings, Yor-bombs, The Catch, walkoffs, and most importantly REDEMPTION. See, 2017 was special because we finally won a WS. It was the first one for the Astros and any long time fan spent most of their life with a championship as something that other teams get to play for. Not us. Then that ended in LA. Next came the bullshit scandal following a horrific letdown in 2019. Fans and media ganged up and ran their mouths, ran their articles, and books.. Astros fans knew the truth and wanted redemption. Fell short in 2021 to a hot Braves team, then accomplished something epic in 2022. This championship was so damn gratifying because of the shit we went through post scandal. Johnny Cash "God's gonna cut you down" is perfect for this team this season. "You can run on for a long time" - all the fucks that wouldn't stop running their mouths about cheating "god" is the heart, talent, skill, and dedication of the players and fans... sooner or later we were going to cut em down. Not sorry for the long post. Go Stros- 2022 Houston Astros Thread
We'll have to address that this offseason.. can't be giving up all those hit like that LOL- 2022 Houston Astros Thread
Choke on it bitch- 2022 Houston Astros Thread
Offense was better in 2017.. arms better in 2022.. tough call- 2022 Houston Astros Thread
It will be open so God can see and can cut em down- 2022 Houston Astros Thread
DH cannot be Vasquez. If Maldy gets hurt you cannot bring Vasquez out of DH to catch. Rules. Hensley is a no-brainer I have no idea wtf the reason is for him not playing.- 2022 Houston Astros Thread
Kate should tell him she's leaving him for Javier if he doesn't close the deal- 2022 Houston Astros Thread
Hensley is the obvious choice for DH.. he got a hit and got deep into counts last night.- 2022 Houston Astros Thread
Not sure whose responsible for LMJ's tipping. But how the hell can Philly be ready for it like that and someone in our organization not catch it?- 2022 Houston Astros Thread
We need a bat this off-season. Too many sticks gone cold.- 2022 Houston Astros Thread
Crystal ball. Nobody questioned that decision before tonight. LMJ is a vet and has WS experience.. he just shit the bed unfortunately. - 2023 Official Astros World Champs Offseason Thread
