Prime Rib Christmas (Let's talk)
No rib roast for us this year however. I went with the smaller full prime beef tenderloin from HEB. No bargains found on the tenderloin. On the Kamado Joe over hickory smoke as I write this.

Prime Rib Christmas (Let's talk)
I added orange zest and a thimbleful of orange juice. It slaps. Soooo many thanks to @jimmyjazz for his recipe. Oh and I used half sour cream and half crème fraiche.

New Site Software / Theme
Why the update? I’m not a techie by any means but what are the advantages of the new format? Faster, smoother (what she said), more efficient? Use big important words so I’ll be impressed, and see the need for change rather than just bitching about change.

Really like the ribbon at the top & bottom with all the subforums listed. I don’t see a summary listing in the new format, but maybe I’m wrong.

Texas BBQ
Stopped in at Burnt Bean in Seguin this morning on my way through town. Got there about opening time, and there was a modest line down the block and around the corner, maybe 50 people outside the door. Went to the end of the line. I waited about 20 minutes and the line never moved. I had a bit of a schedule crunch so needed to eat faster than that, walked to a sushi place near there, had a nice lunch, stopped at a bookstore/coffee shop, got some coffee and dessert, went back by the line and the people I was waiting in line with were still waiting, probably 45 minutes later. F that.

Wives and the Stupid Shit They Say/Do
Got home from the office the other day, was fixing something to eat and swept a few items into the disposal. Reached over to flip the switch on and it was already on. Disposal had tripped the thermal breaker so I reset that, no dice. Turned it with the Allen wrench in the bottom, barely turns. I get a blank stare as I ask if she used the disposal. Clearly she turned it on and left it on. I think the bearings are jacked. so this weekend I’ll replace the disposal.

Running and Jogging and Shuffling
I quit running when I started having knee issues but ran solid for about 35 years. Loved it and would still do it except for my knees.

Fast Food guilty pleasures
The OG JITB bacon cheeseburger on the Kaiser roll, fries and a drink was $3.63 in one era. That was in the days of dig in the couch for loose change so I could eat that night. I was almost killed in a car wreck on Riverside Drive at 4:00 am on the way to JITB for that very meal.

Getting old sucks
My doctor/PA wanted the same thing regarding getting my leg straight. It was the worst part of PT for me. Eventually it got itself straight long after I stopped PT. Like 6-9 months. Just regular walking and getting up and around finally took care of it. Its all about realigning the muscles to cope with the new joint, which takes time.

AFS does a lot of work on Porsches, Lambos and McLarens due to their proximity to the North Houston sales location for those dealerships on I45 north of the Beltway. I assume they get repeat business because they do good work.
